A new education model that allows anyone to embrace the digital revolution, no previous experience required.
Today, tech jobs are one of the 10 most difficult positions to fill in Mexico. To tackle this reality, Ironhack, has just arrived in Latin America to open its first campus in Mexico. This international tech school has trained digital professionals throughout Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, and Miami.
Ironhack is one of SwitchUp’s top bootcamps of 2017 and we’re excited to see them expanding their great work to Mexico City!
Ironhack was founded in 2013 by Ariel Quiñones, a graduate of Harvard University, and Gonzalo Manrique, a graduate of The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. After learning how difficult it was for individuals to get a job after investing in their education, Ariel and Gonzalo decided to create a tech School focused on Web Development and Web Design courses. Ironhack offers intensive and effective training that directly aligns with company needs. Student job opportunities are improved when Ironhack connects students with companies looking for specific profiles. In Mexico, Ironhack is working with different partners such as Linio, Konfío, and GAIA design who are specifically interested in recruiting students.
In only 4 years, Ironhack has had more than 1000 graduates in Web Development and UI/UX Design from over 60 different countries. Ironhack is currently rated by alumni as a top 3 bootcamp in the world by Switchup.
“We always wanted to be in Latin America. Now we celebrate our first campus in the region and we believe it will be key in our global community. This program is developed and run solely by Ironhack. To maintain the quality and experience, Ironhack never franchises our curriculum,” explains Alexandre Berriche, Ironhack’s VP of Operations & Expansion.
Ironhack continues to develop a global community of tech engineers committed to disrupting the digital landscape. Now, Ironhack has brought its curriculum to Mexico where the technology sector has an annual growth of 7%. According to Ariel Quiñones, “There is a deficit of developers in Mexico and our mission with Ironhack is to help fill this gap. Our education model is malleable, which allows us to stay up to date with all changes in the tech industry. We are proud to announce that 85% of our students find a job within three months of graduation from our program.”
