The instructor and TAs were very supportive and responsive. The course has a steep learning curve, but the material builds on itself in a manner that makes quickly associating concepts easy.
I am very impressed by the culture at Code Fellows, and their growth mindset approach to learning.

This one week, immersive class was really great. I have no coding background and by the end of the week, we had a rudimentary website published and running, with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I am now starting Coding 201 and am very excited to see my progress.

This program was 100% worth it!
I was hesitant to commit to a whole Saturday in front of my computer, but instructor Brook R. and all the TAs were phenomenal! It was a great experience and I finished the day with a rudimentary website as well as the confidence... Read More and information to explore and learn more on my own. They covered web site architecture, careers in programming, how to get started, and how/where we could further our skills.
I'd definitely recommend the investment of your time and $ in this class.

This was a great workshop! It was online, which is not their typical format, but you'd never tell. The instructor, Brook, was very engaging and supportive. He really encouraged us to step out of our comfort zones and try something new. There were also... Read More smaller breakout sessions, where you could get more 1-on-1 support. I felt a little intimidated going into the workshop, but all the staff were great. They really reiterated that part of learning is stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new. They really emphasized trying and experimenting over mastering, which I really liked, especially for a one day workshop.

I can't say anything negative about this workshop. You should give it a try!

This was an incredible intro dev work. Thoughtfully organized, well-structured and designed for all learning types. I was blown away, within the first 30m, I felt captivated and am extremely interested in more courses from Code Fellows.

I've taken a lot of online classes, primarily self-paced without any form of interaction; you can FEEL the difference.
The class had a lead instructor and then 4 additional TA's for a total of 17 students--WHAT A RATIO! You don't get that ratio anywhere. I immediately felt comfortable asking questions (I'm fairly awkward in groups in life, we were a virtual group, my awkwardness went to a new level) and engaging with my peers, the instructor and TA.
The class was interactive from a hands-on coding and we were introduced to a lot of effective free-tools right out of the gate. As a small group, we built individual pages and a small site in just a few short hours.
The combination of interactivity, information and introduction--never seen anything better! Worth every minute and penny!

I'm not very familiar with computers but this made learning as easy as I think it can be. It was stressful at times but full of valuable tools to start developing software. I was blown away by this school. It's fast-paced and the material is challenging, but it's worth it. I started coding on my own by learning from online tutorials and while that was helpful, it wasn't enough. I started at Code Fellows by enrolling in a... Read More 201 course and was immediately surprised by how little I actually knew about software development. I had a superficial knowledge of how little I knew, but I thought I was perhaps a little more prepared for tech because I had learned from online resources (some free, some paid) already - but this is where the rubber meets the road and I soon learned how much I had to learn. While that realization was daunting at first, I soon learned that I was capable of learning these skills and that I was in the right place to do so. The instructors and teaching assistants were so helpful all along the way; many of them going above and beyond when I felt stuck on a topic. I successfully finished the entire track through 401 in Advanced Javascript. Like I said, it's fast-paced and challenging, but it's absolutely worth it. As an added bonus, I met some incredible people and even made some life-long friends while in attendance. If community is important to you, you'll find it right here alongside your coding education.
