I loved staying in Playa del Carmen, it was actually really safe and there is a lot to do in and around the area. I actually flew home for 4 days for a family issue and they helped me through it and worked with me to get caught up once I got back.

Read More for your place to stay, I had a basic shared apartment but it was near the beach and lots of restaurants. They had a cool little classroom in a business building with 24 hr access. They also give you a flight credit (gave me $500) to go towards my flight. When you think how much you save going here vs. living in a big city, you would be silly not to study with them . The teacher Eduardo was from Mexico City and had worked for Google before and had lots of experience teaching. They made me feel at home.

I cannot lie, it was scary at first to come to a new country and learn to code but after I got settled in, it was nothing short of amazing. During the week I was pretty busy with school but still had time to go swimming and head to the beach during the week. the weekend was for me and meeting amazing people and being able to go to places like Tulum and Cozumel was amazing.
