It was a grueling pace with non stop coding and hands on work coupled with job skills and transition assistance. We had live training with very skilled instructors and performed coding in pairs as well as groups. Throughout this course I learned about both coding tools, and resources as well as numerous communication and collaboration platforms. It is a really thorough and well organized course that truly sets its students up for success. The staff are all fantastic, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. They were a big key in my successful transition out of the military, and my ability to find a job before the end of my Terminal leave.

Galvanize is a great school to learn to code. They will teach you the minimum to build projects and quickly get you building full-stack applications before you even realize it. My experience with them has been very good and about what I would expect.... Read More You will not only learn how to code and build applications but you will also learn how the workplace invironment is by working in teams on large projects. If you are looking for a place to learn how to be a full stack software engineer this is the place to do it.

this program was fantastic. the course is broken up into 2 parts. the first is dedicated to learning and teaching you as much as possible about engineering. the 2nd part is focused on projects and working on teams in order to apply the skills you learned... Read More in the first part of the course. they offer lots of support for transitioning military and provide a career manager to assist in the job search. i had no experience in coding before start the course and now i feel very comfortable in being able to perform for a top company in a developer role.

Galvanize Operation Level Up is a 18 Week Software Engineering Bootcamp, structured to prepare students for a career in Web Development. From the instructors to the staff dedicated to career services, all members are dedicated to helping their students... Read More succeed. They will provide the material and the resources but it is up to the students to make or break their career come graduation time. Staff will keep an eye on your progress, and will commend and encourage if they acknowledge improvement over time, they don't expect you to be masters at code. As long as you apply yourself and really try, the staff will go above and beyond to ensure you are taken care of. The only con I can point out, is the pace at which OLU progresses. For someone who has an interest in programming, is beginning to learn and has 0 experience in the tech world, this course can be daunting and overwhelming. Your days will be filled with supplemental learning to really nail down key concepts. It's a grind from day 1 to graduation.

I made it into the class and started my journey to become a full stack software engineer. The content was challenging for someone that is brand new to these concepts but structured to provide maximum retention and forward motion. The staff was constantly motivating and pushing me forward to greater and greater heights. I found myself pushing myself harder and harder to learn and gained a huge thirst for all things software engineering. The people that work here become your family and friends and create an environment of peer learners that find their passions. They have cultivated such an amazing program and teachers at Galvanized that I know I will have support for years to come whenever I need a helping hand. I definitely recommend this program if you are trying to get into the tech field.
