So, despite the spartan schedule, it was actually fun. It wasn’t hard, and I felt like everything was within reach. Pros: The curriculum covers most major machine learning techniques so you get to work on a lot of relevant projects throughout your course. You make friends along the way - as people are just in the same boat as you are, figuring things out together makes you a sort of "band of brothers". Your determination is tested immensely and if you match up to it, you will absolutely make headway. The lectures had so much knowledge and information, and instructors were frequently available to clarify things during the workshops. Your programming skills are sharpened in a relatively short time This program was really worth the investment in myself as the value that students get from it is pretty astounding in terms of the content. However, it works well if you work at it. There's only so much the instructors can do by way of information, you are required to solve the problems yourself.

Before the bootcamp I did a little of bit of HTML, CSS and JavaScript but never went too deep. I think learning the basics is very important. Otherwise, you will struggle a lot. Plus, once you graduate the carrier service and the events is something that I've never experienced before. They really take care of you and help you till the end. It is totally worth the money as long you take it serious and remember to ask questions if you don't understand something. Don't be shy!

Three months after graduating I am starting a really good job at an exciting company. One of the best parts of Concordia Bootcamp is Career Services. First I was paired with an excellent career coach and technical coach. They helped me polish up my CV, LinkedIn and technical knowledge and had encouraging words along the way. Next, Career Services offered information sessions with prospective employers, career fair and practice job interviews. It was through Career Services that I was connected with my current employer. I went through knowing almost nothing about programming to landing a job as a software developer shortly after I finished the bootcamp. You get a lot of time to work through problems by yourself with the option to ask questions. I liked the remote aspect of the bootcamp, there were opportunities for your own projects and to work in groups, and the languages learned are relevant and in-demand. This is not an issue with the program, more so the nature of doing bootcamps: it can be incredibly overwhelming! You learn a lot simultaneously and there's so much you don't know, even after completing the bootcamp. I was very thankful to have the career support to walk me through continuing to build up my skills and apply for jobs, as that helped make the process less intimidating

I chose this program for two reasons: they had a part time program, and they had career support after completing the program. The bootcamp curriculum was reasonably solid, and greatly accelerated my learning compared to self-taught. The coaches were accessible... Read More during class hours, and the transition to online-only was quite smooth considering the short timescale they had to work with. Overall, it was an excellent pedagogical experience. The career support was also excellent - establishing a minimum number of applications per week, plus coaching on interviewing and simply providing motivation, was extremely helpful. The cost of the program was well worth it just for the career support at the end.

They weren't lying when they said it would be intense! The subject matter is complicated, the lectures were sometimes really long and difficult to follow, and the work could easily pile up if you didn't stay on top of it. However, the instructors were... Some people don't like doing schoolwork online, but it was ideal for me being deaf to communicate solely through writing. They also provided me with a subscription for a voice recording app which helped during the lectures. I felt that some of the workshops could be improved, the instructions were a bit vague and difficult to understand at times and typos which held things up - but I believe it was good practice for actual coding. I really enjoyed working on my final project and the freedom to do whatever I wanted with it. After graduation, they provided excellent career services and I was able to land a job within 2 months. Overall, an awesome experience and I'm very grateful to the whole team!

The Concordia web development diploma was a great experience and was worth all the effort I put into it. The teacher and the help teams supported us very well and I was able to develop a great confidence in the coding of web applications. I already had... The best thing is that I was able to find a job quickly after I finished my program and could apply my new knowledge right away.

It’s supposed to challenge you. There are going to be tough days. That’s not a warning, it’s actually an encouragement. There are a lot of jobs in web-development right now, which is great, but there are a lot of requirements as well. If you want to meet those requirements, Concordia’s program is a great place to do so under the guidance of developers who will set you up with the needed skillset to transition into the industry. You will get as much out of the program as you put into it. It won't be "easy", but it's worth it! PROS - Excellent career services support 10/10 - Thorough curriculum with all lectures recorded to access after/later - Solid collection of workshops that I find myself now looking back on as a resource CONS - Some of the lessons could have been more descriptive, I always learned the most from the classes that had a great demo/code along as a part of the lecture.
