This is a two-day intensive bootcamp that takes place over a weekend. It focuses on teaching complete beginners the practical skills and knowledge to make websites. This includes a general conceptual framework of the internet and how websites work, as well as the fundamental concepts of web development, the tools that web developers use, strategies and philosophies techniques and tricks of the trade.
At the end of this bootcamp, students will have a working website (example.com), the technical knowledge to launch, administer, and maintain other websites in the future, and a cohort of people to connect with for help or collaboration on future projects.

Students will complete initial prep work online before the first day and then spent two full days in an intensive workshop designed to break beginners through the initial steep learning curve of web development. Students will receive a domain name of their choice and six months of free web hosting from Shoutleaf.
Students will leave with a foundation of skills enabling them to build their own website and advance their web knowledge using free resources and tools on the internet.
Two Women Coders scholarships will be awarded for this session.
