I know a coworker that went through this program too and he also has young children. It is a rigorous curriculum and you will be challenged, but it is doable. I also want to mentioned how incredibly supportive and helpful the instructors are. They are responsive and always willing to help. They don’t just give you the answers either, they guide you to where you need to be to figure it out. Can’t say enough good things about this bootcamp! Best career decision I ever made in my life!

Having recently completed the Python Boot Camp, I can say the experience is invaluable. Before attending The Tech Academy, I had very little exposure to programming. I learned many useful skills, and I now feel more confident in my ability as a developer.... Read More It must be noted that the courses they provide won't teach you everything about a particular subject but rather provide you with a base from which you can expand. More importantly, they teach you how to think like a developer. With this skill, you can continue to further your knowledge of your preferred technologies faster. If you are looking to become a master of a particular subject, this might not be for you. To be honest, I believe you would be hard-pressed to find a boot camp that can provide that kind of experience. The staff and instructors are absolutely wonderful; reach out frequently as they really are there to help you find success. Ultimately, you will only get out what you put in during this Bootcamp. You have to take the initiative and be willing to go above and beyond what is required to understand the concepts given. This boot camp is a great tool, and I can't recommend it enough. Read More extremely thorough, covering everything from the fundamentals of computer basics to HTML and CSS3 to JavaScript to C# and .NET. The program's self-paced nature matched exactly what I was looking for in a Bootcamp and fit well within my schedule. The instructors were extremely helpful throughout the program, always willing to help out when you need it, and always attentive to your needs. The curriculum will give you a firm foundation to build upon as you look to build your career in software development. The Live Project course was a terrific experience that gives you real-world experience in building software. Overall, I'd recommend The Tech Academy for anyone looking to start off their career in software development.

I am so happy with my decision to do my boot camp with the tech academy! I was drawn to the program because it was self-paced, middle of the range in terms of cost and time, and because they built their curriculum for people who have never coded before.... Read More I knew hardly anything about coding to begin with and they really drill the fundamentals before ramping up to more challenging content. I gained a broad base of fundamental skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript before moving onto the more specific data science which focus more on statistics, machine learning, Python and R. I can now confidently wrangle, visualize and model data using both Python, R and PowerBI. At the end I did a two week live project that really brought all of those skills together in real-world agile/scrum team environment. I do want to note that Data Science is a big, new, someone ill-defined field and I believe there is no way someone could learn every aspect of it in four months. This bootcamp gave me super solid fundamentals in the areas of statistics, data wrangling/cleaning, data visualization, and machine learning models using both Python and R. I now have the confidence to self educate in these and other areas of interest, as well as the skills to land a junior analyst position. The course was challenging without being overwhelming and the staff and instructors are available, competent, and they clearly want you to succeed. My job placement coordinator was AMAZING (shout out to Samantha!) She's the closest thing I've ever had to a personal assistant. Whether you need someone to look over a resume or cover letter or to give you a pep talk, they are there for it, present, and keep you on track without being overbearing. They are also very receptive to feedback about the program or your experience both during and after. Overall it was a very positive experience and I feel like I used my quarantine to really get my life on a better track.

The boot camp was a really great learning experience because I did not have any coding experience before enrolling. After graduating from the boot camp, the job placement course was extremely helpful because they prepare you for what the real tech world... Read More is like. The job placement staff were very encouraging and provided good feedback when I did my mock interview and restructured my resume. When the job search turned into a super daunting process, I felt like Forest kept me accountable for what I did (and didn't do) everyday and helped me understand how I would better prepare myself for a potential job interview. I'm so glad that all those hours of practice and studying have paid off because I got a job as a software engineer!! I couldn't imagine that it would have been possible without Tech Academy. And I would also say that you only get as much out of the boot camp as you put in so be focused and don't be afraid or embarrassed to ask tons of questions. That's the whole point of learning.

The important thing to know is that although you will be challenged, you will never be overwhelmed.

Instructors are incredibly responsive and are rooting for you the entire time. They want you to succeed as much, or more, than you do.

By the time you graduate you will not only feel that you are ready to take on a Junior Developer role, but that you are capable learning anything that you set your mind to.

If you are shopping around for a boot camp, please take a good hard look at this one. You will not regret it.

Before attending The Tech Academy I had no experience with coding, so I was excited to find a bootcamp willing to work with novice students.  The Tech Academy excels in their thorough curriculum and attentive instructors.  There are many basic concepts... Read More other bootcamps don't cover, but this academy makes no assumptions in a student's understanding.  As a result, students can be confident the training at The Tech Academy will cover everything needed to get started in the tech industry.  I attended the full-time Software Developer Bootcamp and was extremely happy with the extensive skills and tools available to add to my resume.  I enjoyed learning HTML5, CSS, Java Script, SQL, Visual Studio, Python, and C#/.Net Framework.  There are many skills and tools I gained not listed in the course description.  For example, I gained experience with PyCharm, Visual Studio Code, GitHub, GitHub Desktop, Google Inspect, Command Line coding, SQL Server Management Studio, MVC, and etc.  The most important attributes I obtained from this Bootcamp was perseverance, tenacity, patience with myself as a learner and problem solver.  My entire cognition improved and enabled me to Become a developer.  I learned how to research answers to my questions/issues and debug my own code.  Moreover, I was able to work together with peers, as we helped each other debug code and work as a team.   Another feature that attracted me to The Tech Academy's Bootcamps is the opportunity they provide to gain real work experience to add to my resume.  It was an incredible experience to work for a real company and add value to their projects.  It was a wonderful opportunity to apply what I learned from each course.  The instructors taught me how to create a portfolio on GitHub to collect my projects and display my abilities to potential employers. I don't have the words to express my appreciation for the knowledgable, compassionate, empowering instructors.  There were times I worried about my ability to continue in this dynamic bootcamp and they bolstered me to persevere.  The instructors were balanced in their approach to teach and challenge us as students.   Finally, the aspect that sold me on The Tech Academy is their Job Placement Course and their commitment to support and facilitate my ability to earn employment as a graduate.  Their high job placement rate is impressive.  As I worked through the course a Job Placement Director gave me valuable feedback on each aspect of the job search process.  These factors all contributed to my success in gaining satisfying employment shortly after graduation!
