I completed three of their boot camps in total: Software Developer, UI / UX, and Data Science. You will be able to land a job if you closely follow their Job Placement Course and listen to their team. Pros: Friendly environment, understanding staff, hands-on and real world experience, amazing job support, self-paced curriculum, flexible scheduling; you'll walk away with valuable life skills for any industry Cons: If you already know and understand computers pretty well (ie if you've built your own), the first couple of courses might feel slow, however there is still new information in the courses to be gained. Not necessarily a con, but since the school is at your own pace, you need to be self-motivated to stay on top of your study time.

While always being encouraging and educational, they also help to set you up with realistic expectations and tips on how to actually succeed in the tech industry. It was a busy and sometimes stressful four months, but I learned so many valuable skills and had the support of some really great instructors along the way. They were helpful and kind every step of the way!

I did all my learning remotely and in between my work schedule. The Tech Academy coursework is up to par with the current job market. The background education they give at the start of the course was very helpful as it guides you through basic computer science fundamentals. The curriculum is designed to be relatable, in-depth, and comprehensive. The instructors were responsive and helpful when I reached out. Once you finish the coursework, they have a job placement course where they prepare you to get your foot into the tech industry.

Their operating hours are long and they all the way to 9 pm for me. This was great for when I would get stuck earlier on and needed to call in to get assistance. Their online presence is really good. They respond quickly and usually less than 24 hours for me on a weekday. They're really understanding and patient. Sometimes I'd call in and ask for help looking for a bug and they would help out. There are a lot of people on their team, so I always get a response quickly. I really like how they have a lot of methods for communication; it's not strictly just calling or just emailing them. Some instructors respond by text or discord which is nice. Overall, I had a pleasant experience with the instructors. The boot camp itself was very informative and there were a lot of resources and links to optional studies. They really cover from the ground up, from computer basics to beginning-level coding in multiple languages. It's not everything but enough to get started. In the UIUX Boot Camp, they were mostly outside resources for design principles and tutorials for photoshop and adobe XD. The live project they had for the boot camp was mostly design-based and it utilizes everything you learned in the boot camp. Overall, I learned a lot and it was enjoyable in the end. The biggest highlight would be the live project because it is where you apply everything you learned. Since you build on top of what you have already learned, seeing all of that being applied at the end, can be very satisfying. One downside I had when going through the material is that it can be very dry. For example, the material can be very boring, sleep-inducing almost, but it was important. You really need to just grit your teeth and get through some parts.

Right from the start, there are people that are working with you the entire way and want you to succeed, from their recruitment staff to the staff that you eventually work with in Job Placement, they're all so attentative. With this course being paced... Read More by you and you alone, it leaves plenty of room for error, but thanks to the structure of the bootcamp, the instructors that keep up with you, and the constant communication between you and them, it's made so much more managable. They've taken an approach to teaching students from the ground up, starting with things like, what is the internet and how does it work, and even going so far as to do the same about your computer. Using things like this helps give an extremely well-rounded knowledge no matter which bootcamp you end up taking, and makes approaching the harder concepts much less intimidating. On my C# and .NET Bootcamp I first learned Python, HTML, CSS, and Javascript, so that they can prepare you and introduce you to webf applications with a good foundation, and because of that good foundation, finding a job was even easier than if I had went through a more narrowly-scoped bootcamp because it opened up far more doors than just working with C# and ASP.NET. I can't thank everyone here enough for the opportunity they've helped me create for myself, and look forward to seeing many others succeed in the same way.
