This 4 week part-time course is catered to professionals with experience working on digital projects. Students will be taught the fundamentals of User Centered Design and learn to validate ideas by going through the design process starting with Design Research, Qualitative & Quantitative analysis, Ethnography, Rapid Prototyping, value proposition and ending with User Testing & Iteration.

DESIGN RESEARCH COURSE is a program of specialization in research with users, designed to give students an in-depth vision in this discipline.

DESIGN SPRINT SERIES is a specialization program in Google's Design Sprint methodology, designed to give students the ability to work with complex and unfamiliar projects easily. In just five days, we work on the complete process, understand, diverge, decide, prototype and test with real users with the intention of validating our ideas quickly.

Thanks to this course, we will apply the Design Sprint methodology in different sectors, such as Banking, Retail, Telecommunications, Travel, Health, Environment ... etc The objective is to expand our technical knowledge as UX and Service Designers.

Course Description:

This 12 week part-time course is catered to professionals with experience working on digital projects, UX Designers, Digital managers or Entrepreneurs.
Companies have the need to offer value services constantly to their customers. Currently the market is moving very fast, companies work in a global context but they offer their services locally.

The service design professional is dedicated to mapping the complete experience that exists between companies and their clients, being able to detect opportunities for improvement and coordinate different areas within the company to improve continuously their services.

SERVICE DESIGN EXECUTIVE is a program of specialization in research with users, designed to give students an in-depth vision in this discipline.

Students will learn an effective work process, based on user research, ideation, mapping, prototyping and testing, as well as the implementation of the service in any business sector. We will also work with the “soft skills” necessary to complete a professional profile capable of working in highly complex environments. For example, communication, visual thinking, facilitation of workshops, leadership, management of uncertainty and improvisation.

Por otra parte, se nota que a los profesores, que son expertos en la materia, les encanta lo que hacen porque transmiten los conocimientos con mucha pasión (así da gusto aprender de ellos).

Además, el Hiring Day fue un puntazo. Nos permitió conocer a diferentes empresas de primera mano y que ellas nos conocieran a nosotros.

Por todo lo dicho, si tuviera que elegir hacer otro curso, no dudaría en escoger de nuevo a Uxer School.

Y en concreto Design Research Course, pese a ser un curso de corta duración (36 horas) sienta las bases para que puedas empezar a investigar, sin perderte en el proceso, y ser capaz de dar con los insights entre negocio y usuario.

Curso XR:
- Dejar definido de inicio cuál es el objetivo del proyecto del curso. Según... Read More

UXER:
- La organización de eventos tiene mucho margen de mejora:
- En el hiring day no estaban nada claros qué empresas estaban buscando perfiles XR, y después de pasar por la mayoría, sí que había empresas que tenían departamentos de XR, pero ninguna que específicamente buscara algún perfil en concreto. Todas iban buscando perfiles UX/UI. Creo que sería muy bueno que, de antemano, tanto la escuela como los profesores trabajaran para atraer empresas que busquen realmente perfiles de XR al hiring day. La impresión que nos llevamos los que fuimos fue básicamente de pérdida de tiempo. Por otro lado, a los que habíamos ido por la mañana, por la tarde se nos hizo esperar más de dos horas para poder empezar a hablar con las empresas, sin previo aviso.
- En la planificación que se puso en slack para la presentación del demo day se especificaba que cada grupo tenía 15 minutos para presentar su proyecto, luego llegamos allí y nos dicen que son 10 minutos, lo cual mete una presión innecesaria a la hora de presentar. De hecho es que ninguno de los 3 proyectos de XR pudo presentarse en menos de 10 minutos, todos nos pasamos por bastante, lo que es lógico si tenemos en cuenta que teníamos que presentar la parte de UX, VR y AR.

- Por otro lado, las posibilidades de mostrar nuestros proyectos con las gafas fueron nulas, tanto en el hiring day, como en el demo day.

En conclusión, creo que los responsables del curso de XR y la escuela deberían repasar las características de este curso y no tratarlo solo como otro curso de UX/UI.
