"Too expensive"

If I would have known about other Bootcamp programs that are cheaper I wouldn’t have started this one. You only have TA’s helping who barely help and the mentor who have minimum knowledge and are confused as you. I took this program thinking teachers... Read More

Our curriculum is designed to teach proficiency in tools and technologies demanded by the local market, so learners present a high value to potential employers following program completion. Due to the self-paced nature of the program, we begin with Ruby on Rails. Ruby is a useful starting language for self-paced learning, as it is more accessible and similar to English than many languages, making debugging easier. We do our best to communicate this throughout the admissions process, as we want students to enter the course knowing the skills they will leave with. We pride ourselves on teaching students how to learn, so that they may easily dive into other languages and technologies using the foundational skills acquired in the program.

We are committed to learners feeling confident in their skills upon leaving our boot camp, so we'd love to hear from you directly to see what else we can do at this time to best meet your expectations and reinforce your learning. "Coding Boot Camp is not for newbies"

If you are NOT A CODER, coding boot camp is not for you. You are only paying $10,000 for a tutor that is there to ask you questions and get you to search for your own answers. If you are new to coding it takes a lot of youtube videos to figure out the... Read More

Thank you for your feedback. We regret your experience did not meet your expectations.

Topics are introduced at a higher level in-class, after which students are expected to dive in and not only gain a deeper understanding of the concepts but practice their skills outside of the classroom. This helps individuals learn how to problem-solve and self-teach, two key developer skills. As the curriculum progresses, most students do feel more confident in the knowledge they have gained.

Because we understand that this is a difficult course, we do provide office hours and various other avenues for outside help including tutoring, in-person and virtual office hours, Slack, email, and phone. We hope you were able to benefit from these resources.

It's our goal for all students to leave the program feeling confident in their skills, so we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you and determine what additional assistance we can provide for you at this time. If you would like, please reach out to us directly at (615) 200-1138. — Vanderbilt University Boot Camps Team
