I am Dr. Rhut Virani from India.
I have done my bachelors and masters in dentistry but have always felt the need and urge to learn software programming.
Now after being in dental field since last 4-5 years now I have decided to switch carriers and join programming.
For that I am thinking of coming to USA and joining a coding bootcamp , but don't know the consequences and disadvantages of joining them.
Also what will be future prospects of me as an Indian joining the bootcamps. Is it possible and feasible to get a programming carrier in USA after these bootcamps for an international student like me.

Hi, Rhut. I think you could be successful with this plan, but I think your biggest challenge will be the VISA. Since the vast majority of bootcamps are non-accredited I don't know if you can get an education visa. Once you are done you will be at a disadvantage getting a job because you will need a work visa and a company to sponsor you.
I know ZERO about the dental industry, but I wonder if you might start by finding work here as a dentist first, then start your career change?
The other option is to start your own company. You might be able to come up with a dentistry related idea.
Just brain-storming here.
Good luck either way!
