	Yan Yee Chan	I'd wanted to take a coding course to make a career change for a long time. I deliberated for a long time before taking on Northcoders, but finally decided to take the plunge after attending one of the coding evenings and talking to the tutors and staff. I'm not mathematically minded and did find the concepts to be challenging at first, but the staff took the time to talk over key concepts and gave more practise in areas where you needed more help. The key takeaway from the course is that it gives you a great foundation to learn other languages and adapt to different development environments. You won't come out of the course an expert, but you'll come out as an adaptable and flexible developer. I met some great people on the course, some of which I'm still in touch with. All in all, it was a great experience and never could've imagined I'd come out of the other end job ready and having built some great projects. I only wish that the post course job support was stronger in my region (South Yorkshire), but I believe this will be changing in the future.
