I joined this data science bootcamp because I received overwhelming support from the staff and CEO of propulsion academy as soon as I submitted my application online. Even though my background was in Economics and I was new to the world of programming and data science, the propulsion team were confident that I could complete the course successfully and get a job as a data scientist with their help and support. The ongoing communication to address my concerns about the final project, the Swiss job market and whether I could keep up with the material, is why Propulsion stood out compared to other bootcamps that I was considering. I got the strong feeling that they cared about every student as an individual and were devoted to maintaining a strong network of alumni. The bootcamp was very intense - I was amazed at how good the instructors were and how much I could learn in just three months! As Propulsion is also a well-known company in Switzerland, this experience has opened up many doors for me in the data science industry. If you are still unsure whether this bootcamp is right for you, I would say go for it! I attribute a large part of my professional success to the technical skills that were taught, and people that I met during this bootcamp.

Having worked in IT Operations for over 9 years in a multinational, I decided to expand my professional and technical skills by learning how to code and decided to go for Propulsion after numerous recommendations from previous students. The full-stack program is intense, challenging and well thought out, covering up-to-date technologies used in full-stack development. You learn and build upon the previous lectures and exercises that really fortify learning. Group exercises and projects enable you to understand how it is like to develop with multiple developers. Since this is a very intensive course, Propulsion expects incoming students to complete pre-work which give a solid foundation before the course starts. The support you get from the knowledgable lecturers and teaching staff is incredible. They are patient, professional and know how to clarify subjects and issues. Propulsion really focus on ensuring all their students are able to get a job, organising networking events, speakers and dedicated sessions on the job market and support in building your CV and LinkedIn profile. This happens even after the course and encourage alumni to keep connected. If you are thinking of taking a software development bootcamp in the Zurich or Berlin area, look no further than Propulsion Academy.

It is one of a kind bootcamp with an intense workload but also quite engaging with a steep learning curve. The teachers, teacher assistants and community is very supportive. Would highly recommend this bootcamp for those interested in career transition.
