What separates Coding Nomads from other bootcamps is the relatively affordable price and the one-on-one mentoring approach. All bootcamps teach material that can easily be found online for free or very cheap. So it comes down to how they teach the material and how they help you grow professionally. My mentor always used our one-hour-per-week coding session efficiently and stayed in touch throughout the week, helping me with problems I wasn't able to figure out on my own. They would even suggest hopping on a brief call to figure out a problem. Career support is hands-on and I think it's the best part about this bootcamp after the awesome mentoring - these people want you to get a job and will do their best to help you find one! The Coding Nomads slack and forum communities are very warm and friendly, and overall Coding Nomads feels like a small group of people who are working towards a better future. It's quite different from some of the bigger, more corporate bootcamps out there. Coding Nomads also offers courses in backend web development in Java and Python. Backend web development is my passion so I really enjoyed taking the Java course. I will always be grateful that I found Coding Nomads and how these guys changed my life for the better! |
