I decided to go for Developers Institute to get my feets in the tech world. As the fast growing tech industry takes place in most aspects of our lives, I didn’t wanted to miss something. As an entrepreneur myself, I was not wrong, it clearly enlightened... Read More me, I learned a lot and got an amazing experience. All the staff is very attentive, striving to push you out of your comfort zone and help you adapt and develop your mind to see problems in another way. The fact that classes are smalls is a big point and I felt very comfortable in all my learning process. A fact I enjoyed is the learning platform that is very well made, with nice features and effectively explained lessons you can always go back on. Mégane and Avner are amazing entrepreneurs and leaders always attentive and ready to help for any particular aspects before, during and after the program. If you are motivated, resilient and self-aware of the power tech skills can give you, it is the right fit for you! Last point but not least, any time I feel I need to get back on the course, I have access to it thanks to my lifetime allowance in completing the program.

This school gives you the best tools to become a real full stack junior. If you work hard and you don't let go they will be behind you, pushing you, looking for a job for you (even 1 years after the end of your bootcamp). They just love what they do and... Read More they do it very well, just seeing how many of their alumni are on the market is the proof you need to understand that this is not just another bootcamp with false promises.. Developers institute has has good, well structured python full stack course. This was a fully remote course due to COVID 19. Teachers: excellent especially Jonathan! Mentors: Avi and Julian are Great Mentors and helped me dig deeper understanding issues,... Read More and working on best practices. (There are some that I am learning now during the beginning of my career that were missed) The course provided a really good overview over relevant languages and frameworks. Since it is only three months there are quite a few things you aren’t taught so I recommend anyone who will do this course to look at some general practices and low level language concepts like pointers etc to get a better understanding of things, although not necessary, it will help you avoid things others would run into). They really help you get a foot into start ups that you might not have heard of, and getting interviews there in order to kick start your career. It might be overwhelming so pick wisely. Cons: I wish there would have been a bit more emphasis on building a sustainable system architecture that is scalable, especially when getting to the projects. This could also be improved by having exercises that build on top of each other to build one greater application or feature, rather than small disconnected ones.

I learned a tremendous amount at Developers Institute, and went from nearly zero coding experience to building out complex Django applications in 3 months. The full time Python course was super intense, you will not magically become a good coder by signing... Read More up - be prepared to put in 10 hours a day for a full 3 months! I do still feel that there were many gaps in my knowledge and lack of clarity in certain areas. This is mostly because of the inherent time constraints of a 3 month program and my own non-optimal levels of effort and energy, but there were a few issues during my session which were noteworthy. The main teachers and assistants were FANTASTIC - super clear, helpful and enthusiastic - but some of the other teachers that taught small parts of the course were very difficult to understand (not native English speakers) and/or did not explain things clearly. Also a lot of the written coursework on the learning platform was poorly written or unclear, which sometimes made it difficult to properly execute assignments. The administration was very responsive to feedback though and I believe has already fixed a lot of those issues (including changing some staff around), so hopefully future sessions will be much smoother. I do wish that there was more of a focus on fundamentals and theory in the curriculum though, because I feel that rushing through them may have made my understanding of practical applications incomplete, though it was probably necessary in order to cover the amount that we did. Post-bootcamp job support has been EXCELLENT. The dedicated internship coordinator is a huge help with resume writing, networking with companies and ultimately making sure that everyone gets an internship. Developers Institute also has various sessions for students, where industry experts give lectures on everything from practical interview advice, to new technologies in the software industry. There are also extra curricular workshops on extra coding skills, and one on one job search coaching sessions are available as well. Overall Developers Institute is a great way to jump right into the coding world full force, propel your career forward!

I started the bootcamp after half a year of self-studying Data Analysis and Data Science. I felt that I needed to switch the direction, get some structure to my learning as well as guidance and assistance in my internship/job searching process after the... Read More bootcamp. I got exactly what I expected and more. (+) The bootcamp offers a fast-paced topic structure that allows you to grasp all the necessary concepts to start an internship afterwards. Don't expect the course to go too much into detail, just the most necessary stuff. Studying in-depth is in your responsibility, which is exactly how a bootcamp must function. (+) Teachers are professionals with vast experience who are truly passionate about coding and passing on knowledge. In general all the staff at Developers Institute seemed to be very inspired by their employment at the bootcamp and by its mission. Teachers are always available for questions and personal help in solving issues. (+) The person responsible for assistance in internship searching was incredibly active and helpful in perfecting my CV in many rounds of revisions and finding a great internship. I had three interviews and received three offers, from which I selected the offer that fit my goals best. A paid internship at a company with 17 employees. (-) I received my diploma at a private business school with rather high performance expectations, so I was a bit disappointed with how little the bootcamp criticized low-effort work. It looked like they were afraid to say anything negative. And if they did, only after sugarcoating the work. But I guess this is what you need to do to encourage absolute beginners to continue learning coding, so I am not sure if this is a negative aspect of the bootcamp or not. Maybe they are right in doing so after all.

They have given me the opportunity to study and learn good solid skills that I can work with in just three short months. This is not an advertisement... Read More or anything like that I just want other people to know that they exist, that they are very professional and very caring, they truly work hard at making sure that every single student understands and learns at his/hers fullest potential. They have full-time and part-time Python and JavaScript courses as well as workshops and interviews with leading characters in the tech world. They were recently Ranked 31st in Switchup’s Best Coding Bootcamps Worldwide for 2021. They constantly add new material to their courses so to stay up to date with the latest and greatest advances in code. I know that I am just a newbie in the Developers World but a I know a good learning Institution when I see one( I was a training commander in the IDF and was prompted to being a commander over courses that teach education to other commanders).
