Hi everyone, I am Francis and I graduated this year from the Coding Bootcamp Praha. I would consider myself an advanced beginner before the programme, by which I mean that I took several on-line classes and attended an HTML/CSS intro workshop.
The reasons why I chose Coding Bootcamp Praha was based on:
- It's truly full-stack (unlike many programmes that focus much more on the front end or I found them too simplified / not providing the entire picture).
- It teaches PHP, which is the language of the web, and which provides a great pool of job opportunities (unlike a sexy but minor Ruby). Since the majority of web apps is built using php, this gives much more chance to juniors who at the beginning of their career are more of code-adjusters as opposed to code-writers (I was told ...Read more
Before i proceed with my review i want to make something clear. Someone used or using my name with false accounts and reviewing the Bootcamp for me. I´m the first Portuguese in the school ever and pretty sure the only one named Tiago, because it´s a portuguese name.
Now with the review:
If you ask me if it´s easy? No it´s not, you have to dedicate yourself 110%, study a lot at night and in the weekends to be successful but in the end you will get rewarded.
I came from a Marketing background and i always had the passion for coding and tech, so i began self-learning. Once you hit a road block you need someone experienced to help through and teach through real life examples. That´s what i did and it was the best decision of my life leave my country and go to Prague.
Coding Bootcamp Praha enables you to switch careers into web development & despite I was not sure if I can make it in the beginning, I am so happy that all the hard work and dedication paid off for me. My advice for anyone who is applying:
- Be ready to work hard. There is no magic formula - the more you study and think about stuff, the better you get.
- Don't stress yourself if you cannot understand every little detail immediatelly. The instructors will keep telling you that it is a part of the process, so trust them, do the work and you will get there.
- Work with others. Study together with the other students after the classes and on weekends. You will h...Read more
Prague is a fantastic city. The Schools location is in the very heart of the city and easy to get to from anywhere in the city. The instructors had a great knowledge of what they were teaching and put in a huge effort within class hours and outside class hours to ensure they were giving the best lessons possible. The course itself is very demanding however if you are willing to put in a lot of effort you will get a lot out of it.
For this transformation I am saying really big thanks to the Coding Bootcamp Praha, the instructors and the team who was there always for me.
I chose Coding Bootcamp Praha for two main reasons:
(1) It's fullstack and teaches a lot of backend. As I tried frontend myself (not that I was any good at it but I tried it at least) already before the programme, I was very curious to dive deep into backend.
(2) I checked with several past students who all got jobs right after the programme...Read more
The instructors were extremely helpful to assist after the class was over or even early in the morning before class.Every instructor is proficient in his own subject and you should try to get as much as you can from them. There is lots of practice in class. Most of the times a new subject would be introduced and afterwards there were exercises which we had to do on our own, and then check with the solution of the teacher.
My name is Raul and I come from a financial background, working with my boss at Paris we came to the same conclusion, Data Science is & it will be very relevant in the near future. This fact plus my curiosity for coding made me start looking for a school.
Why I chose to attend this course:
I signed up for this coding camp because of my impatience. I was not accepted in a coding camp where technical interview was asked so I decided to come to CODING BOOTCAMP PRAGUE (DATA4YOU)
After only 2 weeks at school, issues started to kick in due to several people voicing their concerns for the path this course was taking. Instead of trying to improve lessons, the Manager & founder of this school began to THREATEN anybody whose opinion wasn't the determined ...Read more
Before we begin: This is an honest, objective account of my experience at CBP, or DATA4YOU, in their April 2017 term. Just a quick note, I did not complete the course as I left halfway through after digesting my first 6 weeks experience and thinking hard about whether I'd continue.
Why Did I Choose This Course?
Over the last 2-3 years, I've created and run my own eCommerce stores, as well as successfully consulted in the field of digital marketing. The success of my previous ventures allowed me the freedom to live and work remotely and provided me with enough time to further develop my skills in any area I saw fit. Being involved in online business & digital marketing sparked my interest in all things tech and I felt that learning to code would seriously enhance my ability to perf...

I am slightly editing my review from other places to be place appropriate.
A little background and context on this review: I attended CBP, or DATA4YOU, in their April 2017 term. I left about 6 weeks into the course. Before I left, 2 other students had left, and to my knowledge, 1 other student has since left and during the last bit of class, there were ~4 students on a regular basis attending class from a class that originally had 16 (from what my classmates tell me). Why? Well, there are a lot of reasons why I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here but first, let’s start with the good things and work our way to the worst.
- Location: Prague is a fantastic city that’s experiencing a tech boom. - Students: The people coming here are in general really amazing human beings and I’m so...
Coding Bootcamp Praha has been a wonderful experience, being sunk in a driving environment with like-minded people that share the same goal of learning how to code, for three months. Perfect way to make ones laziness go away and learn !
Beware : You might dream of code.
I had quite extensive experience before the bootcamp of learning through many various online environments - or at least that's what I thought :)) but once i arrived i realized how much more is there to learn! its been an intense time, a lot of tasks and projects but i always got help whenever i got stuck. Especially i enjoyed the group work where i learnt how to start developing a complex project from scratch. I had many fantastic discussions with the instructors, which inspired me tons. I am now working for a web dev agency as a php developer and i am really grateful that the bootcamp empowered me to do that!
Although I was a complete beginner in coding, the instructors were gentle and always welcomed any questions. Since the students had similar professional experience and the ambition to change their careers, we inspired and motivated each other a lot. The environment was very international and diverse, it was really fascinating to share our life experience and ideas. The progress in these three months was huge. I'm confidently participating in some coding projects now. The moment I feel my progress the most was the moment I realized that I started to understand programming jokes.
Participating in the Coding Bootcamp Prague early 2017 was one of the best decisions of my life. It’s like pushing the fast forward button in learning. In twelve weeks I managed to master all the necessary skills to code and launch my own web applications and those of others. The curriculum, the study atmosphere, the course structure and the professional staff all contribute to making this bootcamp one of the best coding schools on the planet. The program is incredibly intensive, but for those who struggle there are sufficient opportunities to receive additional personal support and catch up. I would recommend the Coding Bootcamp Prague to anyone who is looking for an professional, effective and unforgettable experience that will kickstart a new career in software development.
