This program is an enormous scam and not worth your time. Everything they cover could be told to you by a very determined google search on the subjects they cover. They in no way, shape, or form offer you anything that you could not look up yourself and... Read More figure out. The labs are very basic walkthroughs that Quickstart doesn't even make, they give you little to no actual experience doing the things that you would expect to be doing as a cybersecurity professional. The support staff hardly ever respond if they do, and if they do they might get annoyed with you because you asked them to do their job instead of sitting around ignoring your emails. The coaches are awesome as people, but besides answering your questions and presenting a short slide presentation each time, they cannot really offer you much in terms of mentoring. This course would be beneficial if I already had a degree and had been in the tech field for some time, but the irony is they advertise to people who specifically do not have these qualifications and are trying to get them. One of the "academic counselors", Aly basically laughed at me when I told him I was trying to be a cybersecurity professional by attending the course, and mentioned he only knew of one person who took the course and became a cybersecurity professional. The "job support" offered by the program is non-existent and is comprised of a company called Revature which is a training mill for aspiring coders who have degrees in other fields and want to transition into tech. The funny thing is, I took this course to become a cybersecurity professional, not to be foisted onto a coding mill company. Avoid this bootcamp, it is not worth your money or time and will not help you become a cybersecurity professional. Last thing, they offer you extra credit opportunities during the course and these opportunities are basically asking you to make free advertising material for them, which is why you'll see so many reviews about Quickstart being remarkably positive despite not saying anything really substantive about the program at all. Take my advice, do not fall for this scam.

A 'safe' introduction to what common folks think of as hacking, except here you're learning in a safe environment, completing challenging projects, learning the ropes of what IT Security, now better known as Cybersecurity, professionals do. Read More the lectures are generally better than quite a few on Cybrary, the labs give people new to the material a solid idea of what they'll be working with, and the weekly classes are probably the strongest part of this program. We are in the last quarter of the program now and I look forward to working with the job support team moving forward.

The amount of information you learn in this bootcamp program is mind-blowing but also a great experience. The mentors and teachers are very helpful and give great instruction. I work full-time and its still easy to find time to complete the coursework... Read More and still have time left for myself, but it is a LOT of information to take in. The labs are very, VERY helpful and give step-by-step instructions on how to complete them and they are all relevant to the projects assigned in the course. I wasn't expecting the amount of resources available to help learn on my own, but I found myself rarely having to ask questions or for help due to the nature of the labs walking you through the basic steps leading up to completing all of the projects, which actually pertain to real-life application, with little to no guidance. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking into getting into the cybersecurity or even IT field because I feel that even 2/3 of the way through, I have the information and resources to be able to complete any entry level job in the field.

Coming from a completely different field, Mortuary Science, I was hesitant not knowing if I would be able to understand everything we were going over. The program is intense and very fast, but once you adapt, it gets easier and easier to find time for studies. The instruction is mostly easy to understand, the labs are very helpful. Cybersecurity is a brand new field for me. Photography just isn't paying the bill. So I signed up for the bootcamp, but my expectations were pretty low. I didn't know anything about networks and cyber stuff. The staff and mentors for the program, I think... Read More they were from Quickstart, did an awesome job. They made me feel comfortable as a newbie and were patient with me. I had some life setbacks that put me behind (COVID) but they worked with me to stay in the program. There were a few communications issues during the program, but that was due to holidays. I can now say that I know tons about computers, networking, and penetration testing. The labs where so so helpful and the projects we did allowed me to express and showcase my new skills. Thank you for a great learning experience. I have already referred on student to the bootcamp, and will refer others as well.

This program allows you to dive in the world of cybersecurity. It looks like a lot to learn and a lot to struggle with. The courses are logically structured, the instruction is abundant and precise, though you have a lot to learn on your own(just google... Read More it). The courses have exams, and sometimes i seem to realize that the questions have nothing to do with the lectures. So doing some extra comptia tests online should be very helpful. When you come to projects, you think you know too little and will have trouble. But in reality, with the help of tips and tricks, and the Coach, you complete it all successfully, being proud of yourself. Also the Coach and all the advisors are available for help. And always there for you and your progress during the course, whether you need some general help(like getting access to the course and course credentials), hard times with labs, or going through zoom sessions. So all in all, i highly recommend this course to those who want to master cybersecurity fundamentals

I really enjoyed the course. The coach was fantastic. The videos are very in-depth but they will go over certain aspects again which can help with information retention. The labs are super helpful and so are the projects we are given. It gives you (virtual)... Read More hands-on experience which is really nice. You are also given a week long course in Python. I had no knowledge of any code writing before this course, and I have to say that I rather enjoy the logical approach Python uses.
