In this course, students will be taught Python, the programming language of choice for data analysis.
You’ll start by learning: basic syntax, how to create and customize your own functions, and how to work with simple datasets using files and dictionaries.
Then you’ll dive into classes, modules, string manipulation, working with dates, regular expressions, and more.
As you learn, you'll build hands-on data science projects to solidify your new data skills. You'll learn to use Jupyter notebook and work with real-world data on mobile app usage, the World Bank, the Museum of Modern Art, and the White House. At the end of this course you'll be able to manipulate data sets for analysis using Python. Graduates will have access to the Dataquest Download Weekly Newsletter and the Dataquest Slack group.
With Dataquest's Premium Plan, you will be able to chat with Data Scientists to get job advice and receive a resume review.
