Also, as a note to complete beginners- it is possible! Many people have some background prior to starting, but it is possible with a lot of work to succeed. DI is very accommodating and tries to help out if students ask for more/extra help. I would overall reccomend this program!

It's very well organised with really good exercises, but it would be nice to have a better support when we have questions about a topic or exercise we don't understand. Read More up to you, as much you put into, this is as much as you learn. they have a great online system that you could learn and exercise coding, have also leaderboard that push you to do more. professional instructors thank you Lise and Ziv , and great managers thank you Avner and Megane. I felt it was a year materials just in 3 month, I did a lot of high quality projects that I couldn't believe I would be able to, and so fast! With an amazing team of teachers with years of experience and amazing management There is a collaboration between the students and a very fun and instructive experience. Pros: - awesome teachers, always on the line to help out - very convenient you can study in class or remotely from home - great job hunting support and materials all trough and after the course - DI cooperates with Aliya, Taasuka, Hadshanut offices, so... Read More you can get a scholarship as i did Cons: - my course had a bigger group then usual due to high demand so this had some disadvantages, although we were able to overcome It took me a while to select DI from dozens of other colleges, i'm satisfied with my decision and highly recommend it

From the very beginning, Marev, Megane and Avner were very kind, helpful and encouraging. I think this definitely sets Developers Institute apart from other courses and bootcamps ; They are like family and just want to help you succeed. The coursework... Read More itself was very intense but exciting. The instructors and TAs (especially Chaim and Avi) were excellent. There is a strong focus on doing exercises and small projects to help you take the knowledge you learned and implement it, which is so important to help you really learn to code. Be prepared to put in many hours of extra work on doing exercises and learning beyond the coursework if you truly want to succeed. DI gives you the tools and teaches you to code - but it's really up to you how hard you're willing to work and invest your efforts. The very nature of an intense 12 week bootcamp is to immerse you in coding and give you a boost, but it's not enough to turn you into an experienced coder. You have to keep learning and keep practicing and building projects and your portfolio. I took the Python bootcamp which was amazing and taught me to code and to think like a programmer. But I do recommend researching the local job market first. If your local job market has more jobs in JavaScript/React then you should consider the JavaScript bootcamp. Beyond the coding coursework DI helps you update your resume, encourages you to build a portfolio, and helps prepare you for the job hunt, networking and interviewing skills. It's a great start, but just like with the actual coding, these are tools you are taught but it's up to you to work on these skills intensely. The job hunt is hard and you have to be prepared to invest tremendous amounts of time and energy in this area. It can take many months to find your first job. But if you keep at it and don't give up you will succeed. Overall I'm very grateful to Developers Institute for teaching me to code, for teaching me how to job hunt, and for giving me these tools to learn how to keep developing and improving on my own. Thanks to Developers Institute I am now working as a full stack developer.
