"Great Experience!"
As my bootcamp is winding down after an intensive 16 weeks I'm beginning to realize how much I am going to miss DigitalCrafts. It has been one of the most fun and beneficial experiences of my life. Never have I been forced to learn so much in such a short... Read More
DigitalCrafts dedicates time to help you make a portfolio and get it polished to send to employers. Their job placement assistance has been very helpful and I'm extremely grateful for the help they've given. It is currently a week before graduation and 5 of my classmates have received offers already.
I'm extremely pleased with my decision to attend DigitalCrafts!

"Wonderful Experience"
I completed the immersive 16 week course at DigitalCrafts Atlanta location. Joining a bootcamp was one of the more difficult decisions I've made in life; however, I wouldn't take back a moment of it. I came in knowing light HTML and CSS and what a crazy... Read More
The staff was always friendly and helpful, both before starting and during the 16 weeks (even when I asked 1000x questions). The teacher was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and able to keep the class laughing. I loved the small class size. I felt I could truly have a moment of either the TA's or teacher's time and go through concepts I was having troubles with.
Curriculum is great. The biggest hurdle of programming is getting down the basics. If you don't understand the basics, when the next shiny new language comes out it'll take you so much more time to learn it. This course focuses heavily on the basics when starting with Python. Covering classes, functions, arrays, objects, dictionaries, clean coding, syntax, making comments, and the list goes on. From there, we jumped into CSS/HTML and JavaScript. All languages that are not going ANYWHERE anytime soon. After all the basics were down, we jumped into more niche languages and kept building on the fundamentals. The first week we were trying to print 10 rows of stars, 3 across. The last weeks I worked with a group on a full stack project that we put on the app store. Pretty crazy.
As far as job assistance, they have a staff member dedicated to reviewing resumes, Github profiles, LinkedIn profiles, cover letters and portfolios. She is incredibly knowledgeable and knows the tech industry very well. She does a thorough job going through spelling, grammar, links on your portfolio and more.
Cons? Well, it's a lot of work. And with every other bootcamp, you get what you put into it. Yes class is 9-4pm M-F, but you better believe we don't only put 30 hours a week into this. Most people stayed past class and/or came in on the weekends. I lived out of my laundry hamper for 4 months. In the end, it was completely worth it.
Overall, DigitalCrafts was a great experience. It's not easy, but the teachers, staff, and my classmates made it a wonderful 16 weeks.

Enrolling in DigitalCrafts is without a doubt one of the best decisions I have ever made. I would recommend it to anyone thinking about pursuing a career in web development. It was a great experience and without a doubt an unforgettable one.

The instructor, Rob, is amazing. He's a great guy. He's engaging and I found class to be a very enjoyable experience. He's not only a great programmer but a great teacher, and he's very good at making concepts easy to grasp with comparisons and memorable explanations. He has experience going all the way back to the dawn of the Internet, which not only makes him extremely knowledgeable, but also makes him great at putting things in perspective and giving you context. He's also very passionate about his role as an instructor and puts 110% into it. He genuinely cares about the success of each of his students and makes himself available to answer any questions outside of class or even after the end of the course. He's one of the best teachers I've ever had in any learning environment.
Having met Chris. I can say that he seems like an incredible teacher as well. He is very passionate, enthusiastic, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. His students speak very highly of him. I would have been happy to have him as my instructor as well.
The program itself is also incredible in that it covers full-stack web development rather than any particular specialization. This was one of the main things that drew me to DigitalCrafts in the first place. You'll get an understanding of back-end and front-end, and one of the great strengths is that the course does a great job of covering the fundamentals rather than specifc technologies, so by the end of the course you'll feel like you can do anything. In addition to the standard curriculum, many students took it a step further and explored other technologies, such as mobile development or really any sort of language or concept that we didn't cover in class. One of the great things about this program that is not often mentioned is that Rob is an expert in basically everything. So whatever you want to learn while you're enrolled, you can go ahead and do it with guidance from Rob that is essentially on the same level as the instruction would be getting about the standard topics during class. Once you graduate, you'll have all the tools to keep learning whatever your interest draws you towards.
The career support is great. You will not only learn full-stack web development, but you'll be prepared to go out and make a seamless transition into the job search. This includes building your own website to function as a portfolio, guidance in building your LinkedIn and GitHub, resume guidance and critiques, a mock interview, and a career support packet that will guide you through the process.
The staff is also great. They are all wonderful, talented people and I enjoyed getting to know all of them. Their personalities make for a very welcoming, positive, and supportive environment.
The location at the Atlanta Tech Village is awesome. It's great to be share a building with people who code 24/7. I found it to be a very motivating environment while starting off on my coding journey.
Overall, I cannot recommend this program enough. I have a hard time thinking of any negatives. It's almost too good to be true, but it's the real deal. If you really want to get into web development and are considering a coding bootcamp, don't overthink it. You won't regret it.

"Unforgettable Experience"

The DigitalCrafts curriculum changes with the industry, making it a versatile program with up-to-date material. This ensures the relevancy to the students entering the industry and keeps them marketable for companies looking to hire them. The Full-Stack approach really appealed to me the most because it covers both front-end and back-end languages, allowing the students to explore both aspects of web development. This gave myself and the other students the ability to learn both sides of web development and choose which path interested them the most.
Rob Bunch, the instructor for my cohort, was incredibly knowledgable about all the material taught in the curriculum and was passionate for each and every student throughout the entirety of the 16 week program. He adapted the pace of the course to the individual cohort and made sure every student received the help and support the needed to succeed. He kept the course engaging and entertaining, and used real life industry examples to help students relate to the material being covered.
The founders, Max and Jake, as well as the rest of the staff, dedicated countless hours to ensuring our success in the program. Throughout the length of the course, the DigitalCrafts team offered amazing job support through project, resume, and online portfolio reviews, as well as continuously providing a wide array of part-time, full-time, and contract-to-hire opportunities through the many DigitalCrafts Slack channels.
All in all, DigitalCrafts was an unforgettable experience. From the people I met to the confidence I gained as a new developer in the tech industry, I can’t thank the DigitalCrafts team enough for all that they provide in their Full-Stack Development program. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to get into the web development industry!

"Excellent Experience"

The founders, Max and Jake, take great care to ensure that they have the best talent teaching the class. They recognize that it is the instructors who keep students engaged and motivated throughout the 16 week program, which is not an easy feat for a classroom full of students who are completely new to the subject. I was lucky to have Rob Bunch as my instructor. Rob is incredibly knowledgeable and a highly qualified developer; he is also one of the funniest and most genuine people I have ever met. His passion for his students and their success is clear, and he keeps his students motivated to work hard and to keep learning. I found myself looking forward to each class not only for the subject material, but to interact with Rob and continue to learn from the best.
The curriculum changes based on what is in demand in the job market. In the quick paced and ever changing world that is web development, the curriculum may change from one cohort to the next (or even mid-cohort). DigitalCrafts is not afraid to change their curriculum to stay up to speed with the current tech trends.
The career search support has been excellent, with DigitalCrafts providing feedback on resumes, portfolios, and online profiles. Jake and Max constantly send updates on job postings in the area and will reach out to potential employers on the student's behalf to introduce DigitalCrafts.
I truly believe that DigitalCrafts is the best coding bootcamp in Atlanta and would absolutely recommend DigitalCrafts to anyone looking to get into Full-Stack Web Development. Without a doubt, I would absolutely attend DigitalCrafts again.

I started off teaching myself coding through online tutorials and later joined my first coding bootcamp where I realized that I love programming and wanted to pursue my passion. Shortly after, I started the full-time immersive coding bootcamp at DigitalCrafts and graduated from the program in August 2017.
It has been such a great experience for me. Not only that I was able to get a job right after my program ended, but also that the tremendous amount of support I received from the staffs during and after my program. My instrucor is Rob who has 15+ years of experience as a web developer. He helped me to build a solid fundation of web programming and also pushed me to go above and beyond. I was able to build an Alexa app for my final project which I never imaged that's something I could do before the program. They also helped me during my interview process, giving me advice on how to negotiate with employers, helping me to make the right career decision. I could not have done this without their support.
If anyone who is considering to go to a bootcamp, I would highly recommend you to check out DigitalCrafts! #DCforLife

"DigitalCrafts is simply outstanding"

The instructors, staff, and owners are all super nice and awesome people. You get the feeling that they're a family and you are a part of it too. The curriculum is up to date, balanced, and in demand in today's marketplace. The pace is fast, but if you work hard every day then you'll be able to keep up and at the same time learn more than you ever thought possible in 16 weeks. I just graduated a couple of weeks ago and I went from knowing nothing bout web development to being able to create some really awesome apps without too much trouble.
I also took the CS Fundamentals elective, which I recommend. It gives you exposure to data structures and CS principles that you don't have time to cover in class. This is helpful not only for coding interviews, but also for improving your understanding of how coding really works.
The job support is absolutely outstanding. You get customized and personal support on creating a resume, portfolio, linkedin profile, and github profile, all tailored to help you find a job. On top of that, DigitalCrafts does a wonderful job of posting job openings and giving your information/introducing you to companies who are looking to hire bootcamp students like you. The day after I graduated I had an interview, and the day after that I had a job as a Software Engineer. DigitalCrafts literally changed my life by taking me from a job I didn't really enjoy in a city I hated to an awesome programming job in my home town of Atlanta! I highly recommend these guys!

The career support is exceptional. During the class, we had mock interviews, whiteboarding, resume/portfolio/LinkedIn profile reviews. Even after students have graduated, the staff continues to support your job search process by sending out job openings and helping connect you to the right people.
