"Thank you Grand Circus!"

Many words come to mind when I think of Grand Circus, but most of all I think of how grateful I am that they accepted me into their program. I had just graduated college, and the thought of searching for a career was very nerve wrecking. Participating... Read More

I loved the Grand Circus environment. The environment itself is very conducive to learning. They have so many valuable resources that are necessary to any learning atmosphere. Everyone around the building (staff, instructors, etc.) is always so positive. It was a great place to be everyday. Many of the students and I found that it was a hard adjustment NOT to be there after 8 weeks! The Grand Circus instructors are some of the most knowledgeable people I have ever interacted with. They could answer almost any question that was presented to them, and even if they didn't know answer, they would find someone who did. The best thing about all of our instructors is that they continued to keep in contact with us even after our program ended. They still interact with our Google group to send learning resources, job openings, links to user groups etc. They even send an email sometimes just to say hi and to see how things are going. It's that level of dedication and commitment that makes the difference in any educator and I am so grateful to have a network of people with that amount of experience to reach out to whenever I need.

The team: All of them are so energetic and enthusiastic. It's absolutely infectious! The other Grand Circus students were amazing! All of them had such a tenacity for learning. All of us found solace in learning from our instructors and from each other. I am so thankful to have met all of them and many of us still keep in touch. It is very nice to have a group of people that you are close to and now work in the same area you do everyday!

The placement program provided so many networking opportunities. There were representatives from various companies that were always around. I loved that they all showed such an extreme interest in what we were learning. You had the chance to speak with so many people about why they loved where they worked and what they did. When it came time for our interviews, it was great that we had already interacted with so many of these representatives. There was an added level of comfort in the interview itself, and I believe the chance to hear about these companies first hand made it easy to decide where you think you would fit best. I went from being a server to being an associate software engineer, and now work in downtown Detroit.

"Experience of a Lifetime"

The Grand Circus environment was peaceful, laid back, and friendly. From my experience, the Grand Circus instruction was great. I learned a lot of information in 8 weeks, and I was introduced to various concepts that I did not know prior to attending this program. The Grand Circus team is friendly, helpful, fun, and energetic. They love to look out for their students, by acknowledging their concerns and questions, and make their overall experience a good one. The Grand Circus students were down-to-earth and easy going, but also worked very hard towards their goal, which was to absorb a substantial amount knowledge based on their area of expertise, in order to gain job placement.

The Grand Circus job placement program was very interactive, resourceful, educative, life changing, eye opening, and informative. There was a lot of Soft Skills and technical training, which helped mold us for our current job positions. This boot camp designed technical program, introduced us to many concepts from both the QA and Developer perspectives in only 8 weeks. A student must have the will power, strength, and desire to learn. This program really displayed how to work in a fast paced environment and take advantage of all of their resources available through the program. Also, a student must have the ability to stand out and take charge of their future and learning experience. My job title before my Grand Circus experience was a tax preparer - now I'm a junior QA tester. Would not have the job without GC.
