Where the course really shines, however, is with the teaching and support teams. Queries to support are handled almost immediately and the team has a customer-first mindset that really shines through. The academic team is quick to mark assignments and provide you with a well-written and in-depth explanation of where you might improve. The mentor sessions are also great and the mentors are approachable as well as knowledgeable.

Intense, Pressurizing But Worth It! I started my HyperionDev immersive Full Stack Developer bootcamp experience in March 2023. Along the way it has been extremely demanding of my time with many late nights not to mention the high number of resubmissions... Read More as tasks were challenging but I've managed to progress and now I am at the end of my experience. It's tough but i highly recommend aspiring Techies who are up for the challenge . As an online student, the experience can feel lonely but dedicated coding mentors are just a video call away. When I started out, I wanted to start my software company as I had just learned Javascript. i went on to read a book called "The Full Stack Developer_ Your Essential Guide to the Everyday Skills Expected of a Modern Full Stack Web Developer". That gave me immense high level knowledge about software development but i had holes in my knowledge base. The task challenges have polished me to becoming a complete developer with strong experience in Back and front-end expertise.

Enrolling with HyperionDev for the Software Engineering Bootcamp really exceeded all my expectations. Read More sometimes I felt that information in the teaching material was irrelevant, thus making the documents unnecessarily long • Sometimes mentors were unprofessional. I had two bad experiences with the mentors, the problem being lack of communication. Overall the bootcamp is good, the support team and mentors are great at what they do, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Personally I enjoyed growing as a developer in this program week after week , and using the latest tech tools, skills and best practices for completing real world projects. A challenging course with the focus on the student learning the content vs the student being spoon fed the content. This forces one to find answers, to think and to troubleshoot. The material and course content is very well laid out with a brief video... Read More introduction to most lessons. The mentor interaction and online support is incredible and one is never left out in the cold feeling like there's no help. Very good. There is room for improvement, in my opinion, with the course content. Often, the material is very outdated leading to frustrating dead-ends following course directives which have been deprecated, or spending valuable time absorbing a method or a concept only to find out that the method concept is no longer used. As frustrating as this is, it does also provide a learning environment in terms understanding the bigger picture and also assists with managing how to trouble shoot and find solutions. If this course has taught me anything, it's that there is always a solution. However, it would help greatly if the content taught is relevant to the current industry best practice. I also feel that the video lessons, and often the course material, is quite surface-level and can entail more detailed info (not just links to mdn) about the subject matter taught especialy considering that the mentors don't assist with answers. However, I am very happy with everything I've learnt up to this point and will definitely suggest this course to anyone who is interested in this topic.
