If you go to HackerYou, you will learn modern front-end technologies and you will receive a job after graduating. The instructors are extremely well versed in the subject matter - and above all are passionate teachers who make it their goal to see students excel and thrive. I don't doubt that a lot of bootcamps offer similar qualifications, but what really stands out about Hacker You are the post-graduation resources that are truly incalculable. The community is empowering, and every member of the alumni wants to see new students succeed.

During the bootcamp you also get experience with mentoring in web development to your fellow peers (experience in teaching/mentoring is extremely valuable in this field), the option to get experience with with public speaking, and once the bootcamp is complete you are coached on how to job hunt most effectively for the current market.

I received a job within 3 weeks of graduating, and my entire cohort of 31 people received jobs within 3 months of graduation.

Excellent coding classes in a great environment. I had Wes Bos for WordPress and Advanced jQuery/JS. Wes's well-structured courses gave me a great foundation to build off of. The evening courses are a great fit for folks that can't do the bootcamp style... Read More courses the are 9(?) or so weeks long. The facility is great, and the mentors are also knowledgable and helpful.

Took the full time bootcamp, part time full-stack, and part time design courses. All of them have been massively beneficial to my career. Not to mention the amazing post-grad support and the ever-present alumni community.

I also loved the instructors - really knowledgeable and willing to help folks out.

After the bootcamp ended, there was such amazing support as I started looking for a job, and found one doing front end development within a month of finishing.

I'm currently working as a front end lead at a startup, in charge of a team of 4 other front-end devs. Something I definitely would not have been doing without HackerYou.

I took the Intro to Front-End Web Development, Advanced Web Development, and Front-End Development Immersive at HackerYou. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Read More This ensured that I graduated with the skills I needed to be a competitive candidate in the FED marketplace. The school and it's alumni were also extremely supportive during my job search. I found that companies were open to interviewing me for my first FED job because they had seen the quality of previous HackerYou grads and knew that I would have the skills necessary to jump into a position. However, the best part of HackerYou is the community. The staff and instructors are amazing and very supportive during and after the program. The alumni are also incredible - offering technical help and support through the slack channel 24/7 and creating a space that encourages ongoing learning. I would not hesitate to suggest this course to anyone looking to pivot to a Front-End Web Development career.
