Read More about how hard they work at getting you an internship with the right fit) gets you into the workplace and builds confidence (and agoodly number of those internships turn into jobs, as happened to me). The level of commitment to students is exceptionally high, the instructor to student ratio is outstanding and the curriculum both well thought out and highly flexible. I highly recommend the program. It has, quite literally, been a life changer for me.

I attended LEARN Academy starting in July 2016. I chose LEARN because they are a 9-5 M-F Bootcamp and because the offer an internship as part of the program. They focus on teaching basic skills that you will need for your career as a web developer.
I attended... Read More the Ruby based bootcamp. They now offer both Ruby and JavaScript based courses. The curriculum was excellent. You will work hard and learn a lot, but you won't be pushed to burnout or fatigue levels. The instructors are the best! They really care about the curriculum and about the students. You can tell the entire staff loves the students and the community around LEARN.
I was placed at a great company for my internship and was hired as a full time software developer at the end of it.
The best part about LEARN to me (aside from my new career) is the being part of the LEARN community. I have a great new career and I am part of a wonderful group of developers that are always willing to help a fellow student/alumni out.

Read More cohort was a huge help to all of us as we went thru the program and still continues today as we are still in touch with each other as we continue our journey. Today I am working for a Game Studio in Maryland and enjoy my work immensely. I must say though...I do miss the Currywurst truck and ice cold beer at Mike Hess and Modern Times right down the street from the old LEARN building.

LEARN was the best decision I've made EVER! Quitting my full time job was the hardest part, but once I realized how much there is to learn, and grow, it was literally the best decision I've made. I had a career in a non-technical background and tried... Read More to learn something totally new. It was my turn to take my career into my hands and physically change it for the better. You can go to code school for many reasons, but at the end of the day, you are learning invaluable skills to put in your tool box. The best part is that those tools can be used in so many different capacities, that it's really up to you to run with it in any which way you want. Example: Software engineer, Web Developer, Email Developer, Marketing, Technical Support, Technical Evangelist...and the list goes on. Skies the limit. LEARN teaches you how to learn new skills on top of learning HTML, CSS, JS, Ruby, and much more. I appreciate the staff being so supportive, and the other students who make the whole journey a lot of fun. The plus side is the LEARN community of alumni, students, mentors, and companies. It's a win win.
