Mate academy gives you a super solid foundation. It's more than enough to land your first job in tech — sometimes even not just as a junior, but as a strong junior. The structure of the course, portfolio preparation, job support — all of that helped me feel more confident and prepared.

What I appreciated most was the number of mentors available. I know some people have mixed experiences, but I was fortunate — I had really supportive mentors who provided great feedback and reviewed my tasks super fast. Their feedback was always on point and helped me grow a lot.

Even after finishing the course, I still occasionally check the platform — they keep adding new stuff, and I always find something valuable or interesting there. It’s cool that the course is still growing and improving.

Another nice thing: I found my first job pretty quickly after finishing the course. And fun fact — some of my current teammates are also Mate academy grads, and at our company, Mate academy alumni often get a bit of extra attention during hiring.

Overall, I’m very happy with the experience. I still keep in touch with a few people from the Mate, and one of my close friends (and also one of the best people I work with) came from Mate academy too. So yeah — good vibes all around. I’d totally recommend it.

I never start leaning in this school they want programers who already know everything they teach I want to learn web development from scratch they give me about 15x 1 minute videos with 0% explain java script OK never mind I have stackoverflow github... Read More google mdn W3school and finish that test. And on end have 30 min interview like I joining some company. On end of interview in 5 minutes finish 3 tests for first you need 1 minute but for 2nd about 5 minutes to just write code and 3rd I finished after interview 15 minutes. Total wasting time

But mentors from the academy teach the material with such ease and positivity that the load of it all becomes a pleasant challenge. Now I even miss those three months a little. I definitely recommend choosing a training format - "Full-time training". Of course you have that opportunity. You need time for that. The schedule is like a normal five-day job. Make sure that every day from 9:00 to 18:00 you can dedicate to education and at the same time nothing will distract you. Well, of course you will need a financial "pillow" that will allow you to live 3-4 months without a salary. Believe me, the result is worth it! The course will not only give you knowledge, but also teach you to think in a way that will make you a desirable target for IT company’s recruiters! You will get assistance on how to prepare for interviews, taught on how to compose a CV and its content will be reviewed & corrected before you start sending it out. With the right effort and desire, you simply will not have a chance not to find a job! Also the payment format is very convenient. You do not need to pay a penny before employment! And 17% from the salary are almost imperceptible. Moreover, as far as I have recently learned, some companies now take on payment when hiring graduates from Mate. I took the Fullstack course at Mate Academy, and a few days ago, I received an amazing offer!! I really enjoyed studying at MA!! I only have positive impressions afterwards! The course teaches you relevant technical skills and gives a lot of practice.... Read More I liked how coaches and mentors constantly encourage your independence in solving problems (a very important skill for coders!!), but if something doesn't work out, they will always be there to help. Technical mock interviews and hr interviews were very useful, they help to understand what interviewers expect from you and what you should expect from these interviews. Many of the questions that I received on my real interviews were at Mate's mock interview practice. Employment preparation is also amazing: they teach you how to compose your CV properly, they give advice about things you should avoid saying in non-technical interviews, so as not to be rejected right away. As they say, if you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, if you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime. Also in my group, if someone didn’t make good progress in finding a job, our coordinator discussed their situation individually and advised them what to do to succeed. Again, they will always be there to help you. Our group had people with different levels of knowledge, different ages, and from a variety of backgrounds. The vast majority reached the end of the course; out of ~40 people, only a small few didn’t. Mate provides all the necessary knowledge and skills to find a job, you just need to be able to use it to the fullest. For several months, you need to maximize the strength of your will and stay motivated until you reach the finish line. It's not easy for most people, but doing what the course requires you to do is very much possible! Also, they're constantly improving their product. I got this from the fact that sometimes their website doesn't work for a few minutes, because changes are being deployed :) I've also talked to my friend, who took the same course, but joined a month earlier (new groups start once every month). I was surprised to hear that not all aspects in our studying process were the same. That's when I realized that MA is very actively working towards improving their courses. They actually listen to feedback! In general, MA is doing a much needed good deed, helping people change their lives and become happier:) Studying at Mate Academy was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Mate was recommended to me by 2 friends. One completed The frontend course, the other one java, both without a technical education, got accepted to Mate not from the first try, and it was difficult for them to study, but as a result they were very satisfied... Read More and quickly found a job and have been working for more years. I, just like them, at first was trying to study by myself the basics of web development on various free resources, but I understood that there was not enough structured information and I didn’t really understand in which direction to move, also this training was spontaneous, when I had time and desire, so not quite efficient. As a result, I decided to approach this matter seriously and went to Mate for a front-end course. It turned out to be the most intensive training period of my life. For 3 months I studied from 9 am till 9-10-11 pm, sometimes on the weekend. Keep this in mind, it most likely will be difficult to combine training with other activities, since you need to do a lot of practical tasks and keep up with deadlines. It was hard and sometimes I had to overcome myself, but at the same time it was very interesting. The information is presented in a well structured manner and in simple words, it is impossible not to understand. All materials are up to date. The team of mentors is ready to answer any question and explain everything in an accessible way so that everyone can understand, regardless of the background. All you need is a desire to learn, perseverance and discipline. I found a job the first week after graduation. I highly recommend Mate to everyone

Finished the Frontend course. I read the reviews before applying, they were either perfect, that looked fake to me, or they were bad, but with the following meaning: “they only take people with a background, good English, etc.. They didn’t accept me”... Read More ... And as a person, that neither had good English, nor any background, I almost gave up, as if I didn’t hope at the moment (I read the reviews after I went through the preparation for the course, which was sooo difficult) and as a result, first times they didn’t accept me, I didn’t master the tasks, and I was offered to try again in 10 days, then I passed and got accepted on the course, and immediately all the comments where they say that people with background are accepted didn't make sense to me anymore. The course is very intense, structured and cool, and they don’t let you forget what you’ve learned before, that is, learning is different from the one in university, when you know it today, and tomorrow you already forgot ... Knowledge you get is totally enough to get a good salary job right away, it all depends on you! And the team prepares you as much as possible for a job search, various "tricks" and secrets... I found a job on the second day after sending out my CV. Yes, I was lucky, but everyone finds a job! In general, the impressions are the most positive, and I'm glad that I went here!
