Mate Academy is designed for motivated beginners as well as people with some experience. The application process starts with a short form to get access to a free intro course. After the intro course is completed, applicants take a short entrance test. The last step is an interview with instructors to talk about goals and do some practice work.

This school is dedicated to helping students find jobs after graduation. There is an option to pay up front, but many students opt for the Income Share Agreement (ISA). With the ISA, students will have their tuition covered in exchange for 12% of their first tech job’s income for three years.

The part-time option is creates for students, who cannot visit lectures everyday 9AM-6PM. In this case, they can simply buy a subscription and learn in their own rhythm. The employment is guaranteed in both of the options.

Mate Academy offers career coaching for their students to help them find jobs after graduating. We have placed over 1,700 students in tech which is 90% of our graduates. Students at Mate academy have access to over 700 different hiring partners.

"My experience with Mate academy (UX UI Designer course)"

I studied at MateAcademy for around 3–4 months as part of the UX UI Designer course. I got in through the IT Generation program (a state-funded initiative), so I didn’t pay anything — it was completely free for me. And honestly, I feel really lucky I... Read More

Mate academy gives you a super solid foundation. It's more than enough to land your first job in tech — sometimes even not just as a junior, but as a strong junior. The structure of the course, portfolio preparation, job support — all of that helped me feel more confident and prepared.

What I appreciated most was the number of mentors available. I know some people have mixed experiences, but I was fortunate — I had really supportive mentors who provided great feedback and reviewed my tasks super fast. Their feedback was always on point and helped me grow a lot.

Even after finishing the course, I still occasionally check the platform — they keep adding new stuff, and I always find something valuable or interesting there. It’s cool that the course is still growing and improving.

Another nice thing: I found my first job pretty quickly after finishing the course. And fun fact — some of my current teammates are also Mate academy grads, and at our company, Mate academy alumni often get a bit of extra attention during hiring.

Overall, I’m very happy with the experience. I still keep in touch with a few people from the Mate, and one of my close friends (and also one of the best people I work with) came from Mate academy too. So yeah — good vibes all around. I’d totally recommend it.
