I just finished their Javascript Algorithms & Data Structure course and I'm about to enter their MERN Stack course today. Entering McLaren College was not an easy decision for me. It took me months to finally decide to go through it because web development... Read More is not the field I took in university. I entered the course without coding a single javascript code before. As the course progress, I can see that even my classmates who have some programming background is sometimes having a hard time solving the challenges given by the instructors. At the end of the course, I am comfortably solving medium-hard interview level problems. The pace of the course is ideal. Everyday I learn new things I could apply on the challenges and assignments given to us. The instructors are very accommodating during class and even after class. They answered even my dumbest and most obvious questions. They have no problem repeating explanations and even offer to explain the questions to students one-on-one. I can't talk about the MERN stack course yet but I definitely enjoyed the experience and now trust McLaren College enough to continue my studies with them.

I had forgotten all about programming basics, as I had had no practice in around 13 years. When I saw the ad for McLaren college's MERN stack course, I decided to give it a try, as I wanted to get my career back on track. The pre-requisite for the MERN stack course, is to successfully complete the Javascript pre-course. I felt like a fish out of water for the first couple of days, but thanks to the excellent guidance by the course instructors and the teaching assistants, I caught up, and started feeling at ease. The daily practice challenges, and assignments, helped a lot in me regaining my confidence, and knowledge. After every practice challenge, we had a good long discussion about the approaches we took to solve the problem. That is a big help! As we get to see that there are multiple ways to solve the same problem, and also get to learn from our batch-mates. Each and every student is encouraged to speak up, and talk about their algorithm. There are daily lectures to teach us about the basics of Javascript and Data structures. After the lectures, our assignments and practice challenges would usually involve questions on what we had learnt, and that helped immensely in solidifying our understanding of the basics. If we ever felt stuck on any problem, help was just a message away. The instructors, assistants and alumni are always eager to help out. McLaren college offers quality teaching through its courses, and they have very high standards. Not just for their teachers, but also for their students. Any kind of cheating and unethical behaviour is frowned upon, and leads to instant expulsion. I was encouraged to keep putting in the work, and to keep solving practice challenges. I am very happy that I followed their advice and I can proudly say that I have a good understanding of Javascript basics and Data Structures. I would highly recommend people, who are ready to put in the required hardwork, to definitely give McLaren college a try. It is well worth it. If you do, then hopefully I will see you around, after completing the MERN stack course.

The course was very well-designed ..it touched all the complex topics of data structures and the instructor made it very easy for us to understand and apply the logic..We were given daily tasks to improve our understanding and we did some mini-projects... AFAIK this is the ONLY bootcamp that offers ISA for internationals students and trains them for remote jobs for a very less fee (and No upfront fee of any type).

I just passed their pre-course and got accepted for the Main course. Their level of acceptance... Read More standard is very high but well achievable. During the pre-course we learned about Data Structures and various Algorithms. I did not pass the pre-course the first time and we had another chance to attend the exam. When I shared my worry about passing the pre-course, they immediately arranged additional sessions for those topics we weren’t good with. That was very nice of them!!

Plus procrastination is also a problem. Now enter Mclaren college, I didn't have to pay any upfront fee, the instructors are honestly the best I had studied under all my life. In this course, you get that 1v1 which in my opinion is vital for understanding complex topics and further your learning. The course content itself is cutting edge and you are required to attend classes for 8 hours (with breaks of course) Mon-Fri plus there are always assignments and checks to keep you on your toes and not procrastinate. But the most important thing in these courses are instructors and they are definitely one of the best teachers I have studied with and that's in my opinion the unique selling point of this course. Not only are they experienced and know exactly what they are doing, they take interest in every student's personal development throughout the course helping them improve every step of the way.
