It is challenging to maintain this pace at this level of instruction for several months without a strong core team and a carefully designed program. This is a crucial advantage of Metana. The curriculum is very extensive and definitely not everyone's cup of tea. It demands a lot of attention and can be frustrating at times, but it has been designed with exactly this intent, since you start to think for yourself, and eventually arrive at the solution without any form of assistance.

Whether the topics I am covering are exactly what I would need to know to become someone considered competent within the industry. Moreover, I always wanted the ability to have QnA sessions with a mentor who is well versed in the concepts I am going over. Which is why when I stumbled across Metana's bootcamp, my interests were peaked. I saw that they offered a guided curriculum with concepts that were not just industry standard, but above and beyond the standard level of competence. On top of that the program was instructed by Jeffrey Scholz, someone who is deeply involved in the cryptocurrency space and the author of the Udemy best selling course "Advanced Solidity: Understanding and Optimizing Gas Costs". With these considerations in mind, I decided to give the program a shot. Now that I am 2 months into the bootcamp, I can tell you with extreme confidence that this decision was one of the best decisions I've made career-wise! It is worth noting that I am a fresh university graduate and it is easy for me to say that in 2 months the value I have gained from this program is far greater than any university course has ever given me. Metana's heavy emphasis on directed self-learning, weekly QnA sessions with fellow classmates, and 1:1 sit-downs with the instructor have all fostered a supportive learning environment that have pushed and challenged me to consume materials in ways I would not have otherwise on my own. You will also really not regret the people you meet here, there are some insanely interesting and intelligent people you will get to converse with :)

Coming to the mentor/instructor Jeff and the course, he comes off as jovial and enthusiastic in the classes. I like that he forces us to arrive at the answer than just spoon feed us. He makes learning fun, I think this forms a good basis to ensure our learning is sustained. The course is structured from the first principles like all the way from understanding how bitcoin works to the workings of Ethereum. It can seem a little fast paced in the beginning but it gets easier if we are consistent. Even the folks who join the boot camp seem like an interesting bunch. Almost every weekly meeting, a fellow boot camper shares something insightful and this excites me. It's actually not about web3/web2/shiny tech, it's about good people and I think Metana is run by good people.

At this time, I am about half way through the program and cannot speak highly enough about the team at Metana.
