Mindmajix

I enrolled in the Oracle Apps DBA course based on the institute's claims of providing the best training and 100% course coverage. Unfortunately, my experience did not live up to those promises.

I was the only student in the batch, which led me to expect... Read More personalized attention and more practical, hands-on training. However, most of the sessions were conducted verbally, with very limited demonstrations. Whenever I requested practical exercises, I was often told that they would take too much time or could not be demonstrated.

The course syllabus was not completed as promised. Although the institute charged separate lab fees, the lab environment was highly restricted. I was only able to log in and view the application, with little or no opportunity to perform actual Oracle Apps DBA administration tasks.

Additionally, the instructor was frequently late to classes, and class schedules were changed without prior notice, making it difficult to plan my time effectively.

Based on my experience, I did not receive the level of practical training, course coverage, or professionalism that was advertised. I would recommend that prospective students carefully evaluate the course structure and training approach before enrolling. I understand that you may disagree with my review, but it reflects my genuine experience as a student.

Before joining, the course was promoted as providing real-time Oracle Apps DBA training. However, my expectation of a real-time environment was to gain hands-on experience with activities such as installation, configuration, cloning, patching, administration tasks, and troubleshooting. Unfortunately, these topics were mostly explained verbally and were not demonstrated practically.

You mentioned that a live environment was provided. However, the lab access I received was highly restricted. I was unable to perform the core Oracle Apps DBA activities that students typically expect to practice. Simply logging in and viewing the environment is not the same as learning through hands-on administration.

Throughout the course, I repeatedly requested practical demonstrations. Most of the time, I was told that it was not possible because it would take too much time. As a student, I joined specifically to gain practical experience, not just theoretical explanations.

Regarding commitment, I attended classes on time and was available whenever sessions were scheduled. However, there were several occasions when the trainer joined late or class timings were changed without prior notice.

My review is not based on failure or lack of knowledge. It is based on the gap between what was advertised and what was delivered. Students pay course fees and lab fees with the expectation of receiving quality practical training. Instead of dismissing student feedback, I believe it would be more constructive to address these concerns and improve the learning experience for future students.

I stand by my review as an honest account of my experience.
