"Great curriculum; even better community and environment"
I graduated in May 2018 with Cohort 23. It was a six month full-stack program, where we studied AngularJS during the front-end and Node.JS for back-end. I had a great experience with my class and truly believe the curriculum was really well designed.... Read More
The class itself is really structured. Monday through Friday, 9a to 4p with an hour for lunch most of the time. You need to be disciplined enough to study on your own and do work outside of class, but I was able to maintain a part-time job throughout the course (for reference, most people don't though). If you're worried that you won't be able to grasp the information fast enough, you'll have plenty of assistance throughout the course to get help. However - I cannot stress enough how important the pre-work is! Before the course starts, they ask you do to the Front-End Web Developer course on teamtreehouse.com and read/work through two books on HTML, CSS, and a bit of JavaScript. If you complete all of it, I can guarantee that you will feel more confident in class, and be able to help your peers, thus learning even more.
All in all, I absolutely recommend applying and interviewing. Go and see the school, talk to Jeremiah and the instructors and the alumni to see if it's really right for you!
