The training, resources, and coaching of product gym, as challenging as they can be, make all the difference. They helped me walk, talk, and act as a product manager. I’ve gained a sense of confidence and assurance in my ability to interview and be seen as a capable product manager as well. In addition, I’ll still have access to the resources after I land my next role - which I know will be very helpful in the future. Pros - Resume reviews. Interview approach. Course content on different aspects of product management. Cons - Some courses and the content could be more organized. It’s expensive (but a good investment given it’s a long-term membership).

I’m an experienced PM who held leadership positions, but never did more than a handful of interviews in the course of my career to get there. Needless to say, for a role in a larger company, I needed some support. How they helped me: Got my CV in shape Taught me to apply to 30 companies. For a fee, they even apply for you. Talk about time optimization. Got me 10-20 interviews per week, over the course of 1 to 2 months. Helped me easily breeze through round 1. Helped me figure out how to handle R2 and subsequent ones. Helped me navigate offer stage, and negotiate through it. Their fee isn’t cheap. That said, it paid for itself many times over for me, as I got a job faster, with more seniority, at a higher comp, and they helped me negotiate better comp as well.

The teachers are great and give actionable feedback. The community is incredibly supportive. Their methodology is sound and leads to a successful career trajectory. The course is self-paced and allows you to complete each step at your own pace. The staff at PG really want you to succeed and are very transparent about their process. Some of the course materials are a bit disorganized. The internal communication application could have a stronger feature set for building out the community.
