"Before You Join Scaler: Read This Honest Review"
I completed a course at Scaler Academy, and I must say the course structure, curriculum, and teaching quality are well-designed. The classes are structured, mentors are knowledgeable, and the learning resources are helpful for understanding concepts.... Read More
However, my experience with job placement support was disappointing. I come from a Commerce background, not a Computer Science degree. During enrollment, it was communicated that degree background would not be a major barrier after completing the course, but in reality, this became a significant issue.
After completing the course, I applied to around 50 jobs through the Scaler portal, but I did not receive any offers. I also noticed that many students and working professionals faced similar challenges in getting placed.
Another concern is that Scaler offers a ₹200 voucher for posting positive reviews, which makes it difficult to trust the authenticity of many highly positive reviews available online.
Overall, the learning experience is good, but if your main goal is job placement, especially without a Computer Science degree, you should think carefully and do thorough research before joining.
Now, based on this experience, you can decide whether this course is right for you or not.

"Scaler Academy and Masters review"
I graduated from one of the top Tier-1 colleges in ECE dept. I started my career in ECE domain at Qualcomm and developed deep liking for software field seeing my friends (who were working in software industry) designing some cool stuff and handling the... Read More
That's when I joined Scaler curriculum. I felt in love with the first few DSA modules of the curriculum. The guy teaching DSA was from Google, California. The explanation was just amazing. So I went ahead and even took the masters program (it's just 6 months extension for the regular one) from Scaler. All of the teachers were from great companies, so they had really good understanding of the internals of the software industry and whatever they thought was actually job ready stuff. 2 years down the line with Scaler, I am now few days away completing the masters course. Below is a short summary of my journey with scaler.
Pros:
1. It takes one from a entry level guy in software to a mid senior level understanding of the software systems.
2. The teachers are great (though some of them might not reach our expectations -> again only sometimes).
3. Their software and support systems are glitch free and works super cool.
4. The assignments helps you with assimilating the knowledge -> whatever is thought in the class the same will be in assignments.
5. The job support is also good, though I haven't used them much. I got few job opportunities from Salesforce and other big tech companies and you keep getting opportunities from high paying startup jobs every now and then.
6. The curriculum is upto date with the industry requirements -> one of the primary reason why I chose scaler over any of the reputed institutions like IITs.
Cons:
1. The cost of the program might feel little heavy given the fact that whatever is being thought is already available on net
-> But how I feel is that, even if there is so much content available on net, you can't figure out what to study and what not. How much to study and when. This is where I feel Scaler stands out. Beautifully crafted curriculum and just the right amount of content that's needed for cracking the interviews and learning.
2. The program literally feels draining. It blocks almost all of your free time on weekdays. you have 3 classes a week and good amount of assignments that will take most of your other weekdays and weekends( if you want to solidify those concepts). I almost had nightmares sometimes, thinking if I will ever be able to finish the course. My strong suggestion would be that, anyone who is taking this course must take this aspect into consideration. This course needs dedication and discipline to complete. You need to mentally prepare yourself that for next 1.5 years I wont have much free time left after my work and studies. Also, try to be in pace with the course never ever think of watching the recordings and completing the course, your effectiveness and overall learning will go down if you do so.
