I had a very positive experience with Simplilearn’s cybersecurity program. Overall, I would give it 5 stars because I came in with very little cybersecurity knowledge and finished feeling much more prepared for a cybersecurity or SOC-related role.

One... Read More of the biggest highlights of the program was my LSM, Akshay. He was amazing throughout the course. He replied quickly, gave great guidance, checked in, and always tried to solve any issues I had to the best of his ability. Whenever there were minor hiccups with labs or access, he worked to remedy the issue as soon as possible, which made the experience feel much more supported.

Fred was also a great instructor. It was valuable to learn from someone with so much real industry experience. He never missed a day, was never late, and clearly wanted to make sure we understood the material instead of just moving through slides. His consistency and knowledge made a big difference.

The classes were helpful and informative, and the labs were mostly useful for reinforcing the concepts. My only suggestion would be to break up the slide-heavy portions a bit more with hands-on labs or interactive activities during the program. That would help reduce the monotony and make the learning even more engaging.

Overall, I would recommend this program to someone serious about learning cybersecurity and willing to put in the work. It gave me a strong foundation and helped me feel much more confident about pursuing a role in the field.
