How does it work?
The program simulates a real world work experience. It's set-up around building a web application that replicates the functionality of a popular product (like Airbnb or Twitter). During the course, your mentor acts as a team leader, holding you accountable, providing learning resources, feedback on your progress and support when you get stuck.
Talentbuddy requires a time investment of 15h a week over the course of 3 months. During the program you collaborate with you mentor via the Internet from the comfort of your home.
The program consists of a combination of self-study activities, weekly 1:1 video chat meetings with mentors and of course: a lot of project work. Learn more and also check out the Talentbuddy FAQ.
Unlike other programs where you work on multiple projects, Talentbuddy focuses your work on just one this enabling you to go deep into the details of building a web application - rather than just building multiple lightweight projects. This experience better mirrors the daily job of a developer.
Also, unlike other programs where where mentorship sessions are one-to-many (one mentor, multiple students in the same session), at Talentbuddy you always interact with your mentor one-on-one. The more attention the mentor allocates to your project and your struggles, the higher quality of help that you get.
