When I decided to join a bootcamp in Israel, I contacted different institutions. My experience was very disappointing, I felt I was expected to enter a kind of pre made drawer, my skills were not valorized at all and I thought a bootcamp might not be the solution for me. That’s when I met Developer Institute. The manager Megane is one of the most amazing and devoted person I have met so far. She helped me with finding foundings, she valorized my knowledges and helped me link them with my tech skills in the best way. I learned so much and with hard work and the support of very good teachers as well as an amazing online platform with a life access to it, I feel I am now ready to join a company as a developer. Not only the classes thought me the bases I needed to start my new carrier but Avner and Megane the two managers brought me a lot of support, and helped me develop the self confidence I needed to call myself a developer. My colleagues were very motivated and all coming from very different backgrounds, and all our skills merged towards creating a cohesive group and helping each other. I am very proud of being part of this class of wonderful people that were selected over their potential and motivation and not because they could fit a preset position in an hypothetical company. Each one of us were able to develop and grow towards our dreams as different as they were, because yes the tech world is enormous and it has space for each of our fantasies. |
