| | Julie O'Kruk | I was happy with my decision to do Juno's 2 week accelerate web development course. The course was well designed and fast-paced, with high-quality notes and competent teachers. By the end of the two weeks I felt like I had learned a lot. I often use what I learned to customize and tweak Wordpress themes. |
| | Anonymous | Taking the coned Webdev course to dip my toes into the world of tech and to see if I like it. The learning is at a good pace for someone who has no background in web development, and with only 2 classes/week, there is time to do homework and let things sink in. The virtual classes are not ideal (loss of classroom dynamic) but have extended the opportunity to learn @ Juno without having to move to Toronto. |
| | Arshi | This course is the next step for front end developers who want to familiarize themselves and step into full stack development by learning about server side development and databases. The concepts covered were key to understanding the full spectrum of web development. The course was very hands on and I was able to apply the material towards a real life project. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions our cohort was not able to benefit from the in class experiences, however, there was no shortage of interactivity as the teacher was very knowledgeable and engaging! |
| | Jessica Luong | Pros:
I liked that I was able to take course after work hours (6:30 - 9:30 PM); I didn't have to take time off of work to explore a different subject field. The class size was also small, meaning that the instructor wasn't spread too thin. The instructor was approachable and knowledgeable, and provided a great introductory course into web development. Even as an alum, I've received some emails regarding potential job openings, which is great!
Cons:
At times, the course could feel a little bit rushed, but I think that just comes with accelerated courses. |
| | Emma Hughes | Awesome curriculum and teachers and the students are very hardworking and enthusiastic about learning. This is a great way to kick start your software development career! There are a great variety of courses and workshops to continue further your learning after you graduate. Overall this is a safe and fun environment to learn something that seems so complex! |
| | Anonymous | I took the part-time Web Development course online, which was quite convenient. The instructor, mentors, and my entire learning experience were absolutely great! I’d highly recommend taking courses through Juno for anyone that’s interested in learning coding! |
| | Anonymous | I would recommend Juno College for it's web development immersive bootcamp, and for the career support that you receive post-bootcamp. The instructors are knowledgeable, personable, and approachable, and I truly believe that anyone can go into the Web Dev 101 workshop not knowing a thing about coding, and come out of bootcamp with enough knowledge to land a job as an entry-level developer.
Beyond bootcamp, the support of the Career Services team has meant the world. Job hunting is a daunting process, especially during a pandemic, and the Career Services team has really helped keep me on task and motivated throughout. Whether it's resume help, interview practice, or just being there for an ear to vent frustrations to....the team have been amazing. |
