	Anonymous	I went to back to school as a non-traditional student in my mid-20s a few years after getting out of the military and got a physics degree that I never thought I would achieve. After that accomplishment, however, I spent years trying to break into a field that would allow me to use some of the skills I learned in that degree, but I could never bridge the gap between my academic and life experience and what would be expected on day one in a field like data science. This bootcamp was truly been a life-changing experience for me, and I’m really grateful to the staff at Metis. To get accepted late last year at the end of a difficult 2020 was a much-needed career boost, and I'm confident that the skills taught to me in the bootcamp will help me bridge the gap between my academic experience and the experience needed to walk into a workplace on day 1 for a data science role.
