I completed the Web Development boot camp from A&M Kingville recently. I found the process of getting into the program easy. I don't know if they still offer this but I was given an Amazon gift card to help pay for a new laptop to use during the program. The instructors I was in contact with were very knowledgeable and great resources to have. I personally had been studying some coding on my own before applying. I was still very new to coding but had some base level experience. I recommend exposing yourself to HTML, Python, and JavaScript basics before jumping in. The curriculum itself was easy to understand and navigate. As technology and software are continually being updated, some of the modules could use a little bit of updating as well. This wasn't a major issue as the instructors have the experience to get you through any outdated curriculum. At the time that I found this boot camp I had been looking at a lot of different boot camps. I had a lot of trouble getting accepted for financing with other boot camps because of some past financial hardship. A&M/Qucik Start ended up working out for me because it was just affordable enough. I was worried that because of it's lower price point that it would not be high enough quality. I was wrong. I learned a lot and I feel more prepared for a career as a web developer. I have not found employment yet as a web developer but this is not any fault of Quick Start or A&M. I've spent time with the career assistance department and they have been very helpful. Overall my time with A&M's web development boot camp has been a positive. It is a self paced program which every student should think about before applying. It's a lot of work and requires a lot of time. They won't hold your hand through the course but the resources are there if you need them.
