Lyubomir Todorov Coming from a traditional academic environment and holding two university degrees I had my doubts as to the real benefits of attending a tech bootcamp vs. enrolling in a university tech course. What finally swayed my decision were the obvious advantages of having a rich practical experience from day one combined with the freedom to get as much technical knowledge as my abilities allowed me. Upon reviewing several tech bootcamps in Barcelona area I chose Ubiqum Code Academy - Barcelona upon recommendations from some of my friends who had attended the same bootcamp as well as upon my personal observations interacting with Ubiqum staff and exploring the bootcamp facility. My particular experience remained highly positive throughout my stay at Ubiqum Code Academy - Barcelona for two main reasons - having proper expectations for the teaching environment/methods utilized and the fact that my team consisted of only three people, thus allowing me to work even more actively and at a higher pace with my mentors, thus covering way more material than originally planned. My personal experience with Ubiqum Code Academy - Barcelona MERN stack mentors was very positive, probably again because it felt close to my own views - I did not expect anybody to hold my hand or make it easy on me, but I knew that if and when I hit a wall, there was somebody standing by me to help. In summary: if you are coming with the expectations of having a more "traditional" academic learning experience may be you should explore other possibilities first. If, however, you come prepared to start tackling real-life scenarios from day one, working hard and be the main engine of your own success then I would strongly recommend considering Ubiqum Code Academy as the right place to achieve those goals.
