Codecademy Labs was a nice idea. They claimed to do what the more common bootcamps do- get you up to the level of getting a job as a dev in 12 weeks. The difference is that they did it for $250 and only 5 hours of classes/week. I think the format has changed a lot. I think the prices have gone up and they're splitting up the hours (thank God- 5 hours straight on a Saturday was really intense). It was a good course in as much as I got the basics of some coding- about 3 of us went on to bootcamps afterwards and I know a couple of them are now very successful developers. In terms of the curriculum, it was mostly doing the relevant track on Codecademy and then leveraging that knowledge in a task/project. Not a bad set up but someone very diligent could just do all the tracks online for free. Still, for $250 I thought it was a really good deal.
