Anonymous I attended this program and was holding my own, managing to teach myself (that's right, you teach yourself because there aren't really any instructors and the ones that we had were pulled in five million directions). I became ill and had to miss a few days and when I came back was given the choice of taking a leave of absence until my health improved if I felt I needed to. So, I decided that was the best option for me. While I believed everything was all right, i found out that my supposed advisor had not alerted anyone to the plan she and I had agreed to and so I racked up enough days of being out to have me removed from the program. When I tried to contact them to discuss this, I was met with silence and no response. Now, after only having attended the program for three months I am being hounded by ISA for repayment of 30 grand? I am okay with paying the amount that I used for the three months and the money given to buy a new laptop, but how in the hades do they come off thinking that we are responsible for the entirety of the program when we (this is happening to a lot of students who are suddenly kicked out of the program)was not our choice but theirs. If you don't buy into their view of the world or speak your mind, you are immediately in jeopardy of losing your spot in the program. People walked around afraid to open their mouths in fear that whoever hears them will run and tattle to a facilitator and they will be thrown out. Its a dictatorship with a very judgemental mindset. There is no inclusivity. If you're popular, you're fine and rules are broken left and right for you. If you do not conform to their way you're out. Its a horrible learning environment because of the fact that you are given lists of resources to watch and read to learn from. I think i could save myself thirty grand and learn that through free code camp. They often require you to use resources that aren't free and don't provide you with access. It is a bad bad situation. It reminds us of Lord of the flies. Run as fast as you can!
