Vel Georgieva It will be difficult to list all the positives of attending Northcoders. The curriculum is intense, the pace is quite steep and every day there is a ton of new information to process - this should be overwhelming and stressful, yet it isn't. The staff makes it work - they are the friendliest bunch I've seen and you can tell they love what they are doing, which rubs off on the students. There are many oppotunities to improve, ask questions and make mistakes, to just play with code - something which is actively encourage, unlike many other learning establishments I've attended where making mistakes is heavily frowned upon. At Northcoders you can experiment and learn from testing, trying, failing and ultimately - succeeding by your own efforts. Working in pairs or group makes the whole day a lot of fun. The only downside I can think of is I don't live in Manchester, and have to travel for 3h every day to attend - but doing so on a daily basis just proves how enjoyable attending is.
Josh I really enjoyed the 3 months I spent at Northcoders and still keep in touch with the team there. The teaching and career support immediately after the course was fantastic, and still get involved with lighting talks and other events even now. Everyone on the course is super friendly and helpful. I have made several good friends who I still see and socialise with on a regular basis.
