| Megan Donnelly | Prior to attending Fullstack's immersive program, I was working in quality assurance at a tech company and I was interested in changing careers to software engineering. I spoke with a number of my coworkers who had attended bootcamps, and the Fullstack / Grace Hopper alumni by far had the most glowing reviews of the programs they attended. After taking Fullstack's bootcamp prep course, I decided that Fullstack had the inclusive learning atmosphere and hiring outcomes I was looking for. I ended up enrolling in the program and becoming a teaching fellow afterward and it is by far the best investment I've ever made. I'm a few weeks out from finishing up my teaching fellowship and I'm excited to say that I've accepted a full-time software engineering role that far exceeded my expectations. I have nothing but great things to say about the wonderful and dedicated instructors and career success advisors at Fullstack. I would highly recommend this program to anyone considering a career shift into software engineering. I will say that my prior experience working in tech and my experience working as a teaching fellows were very helpful during my job search, but I think Fullstack can be a great option for people without prior technical experience as well. |
| Farhad Ahmed | Coming from a background with zero tech experience, Fullstack provided me with the tools, skills and the confidence to lead a career in cyber security. At first I was intimidated because everything was unfamiliar and the concept of using a computer without a GUI (user interface) gave me nightmares. However, through Fullstack's test-driven labs, and continuous immediate support from both Corey and Veer and the fellows, my 17 week experience at Fullstack opened a life long career for me. With a mix of discipline, focus, and grit anyone can succeed through this program. I wouldn't be where I am today without the support and commitment from the entire Fullstack Cyber Security team. |
| Sam Oliva | The coding instructors for the program were fantastic. However, the support offered by the career success team was very disappointing. My cohort was scheduled to have 2 career fairs, both of which were cancelled with little notice and with a broken promise of rescheduling. It was my career counselor's last year with Fullstack and it was apparent by how 'checked out' they were. Students could request individual assistance (which was difficult to ascertain) but there was no structured curriculum about job hunting. Learning how to job hunt and interview for coding positions was the main appeal to me and it was disappointing to be snubbed. |
