Anonymous I have to politely disagree with the review below. I am also a current student at Coder Academy Flextrack program, and we have learnt and produced so much more work than just "Hello World!". Yes, there has been issues with moving online, I agree, but Covid has affected so many people in worse ways. But I have raised my issues with them, and they responded immediately and fixed the issue. Can you ask for much more? Coder has tried to do the best they can in my opinion with the circumstance and have always told us to reach out for support if you need it. Yes, the course costs a lot, yes, there's no job guarantee, but with the money we put in, if we don't put in the hard work to learn as much as we can, ask for as much help as we can, build as much stuff as we can, and network as much as we can (through the constant opportunities that Coder provide to us) then you are wasting your money. You could go and learn this stuff on Youtube, but you will not receive the 1 to 1 help if you get stuck, and you have to 100% look for an internship/job yourself. Coder partners with a constant evolving list of companies in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne to help get as many students into internships if the student wants. It absolutely sucks we are in/heading to a recession. If you work hard and prove yourself and utilize the help they provide to us, then it's going to be much much easier to acquire work. Nothing in life comes free, they aren't going to get you a job, they tell you that before you sign up. I reckon I would beat you in an interview with great marks, strong personal branding and connections coming from Coder, than you would through Youtube, sorry.
