Hi my name is Sue Kim. I am currently enrolled in Data Science program. I started my journey early this year at QuickStart. The reason I took this bootcamp is because I am interested in machine learning. I tried to teach myself, but I did not know where to start. Doing this bootcamp has enabled me to take the right course. I would recommend this bootcamp for those who are interested in becoming data analyst. The curriculum is comprehensive. If you learn everything on the curriculum, it should prepare you for your next role as data analysist. As for me, I am going to continue learning after the bootcamp, so that I can be beyond intermediate level in machine learning. Depending on your goals, you can tailor your learning experience to what you want it to be. You can do this with input from your instructor. My instructor Peter is really an amazing teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable, and can answer all the questions in machine learning. I feel that I have the path I can direct myself to. I know some people do entirely self-learning, but this wasn’t going to work for me. I needed to learn the basics before I can do more self-learning. This is where QuickStart comes in. Data science is such a broad field that one right course can propel you to right path, as QuickStart has done for me. In terms of academic advisors, Harris is really great! He is very supportive, and will listen to your needs to get what you want out of the bootcamp. Also Danny is great in terms of technical support. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a career change or to learn about data science. Our mentoring sessions with Peter has given me really broad understanding of data science, I could not have gotten on my own. This is a really great online data science bootcamp. If you are curious about what you will learn, look at the curriculum on their website, and you will see that you will gain knowledge of strong fundamentals through this course.
