Rafa I studied business but I wanted a more analytic role. Therefore I joined the analytics course at Ubiqum, which I learned R, Python , ML and more. After I joined as advanced data analyst at Accenture, where I have been working for the last 2 years and a half.

I joined Ubiqum on Sept 2018, without no technical background nor even a degree. To be honest, at the beginning I wasn't still 100% convinced on what I was doing. My main driver for me to engage in their Data Analytics & Machine Learning program was to leave my previous job -mechanic- behind, since for long time ago I felt unfulfilled there. Luckily, I met there with wonderful mates and great mentors who enabled me to quickly get the basics of how an analyst should think and, out of it, begin to find my own way to become employable in such a challenging job. All I can do is to praise them for having developed an excellent program and learning methodology and for the time and support they invested to me as well, often going way further than what I asked for. For anyone wondering whether to engage or not: the key for you to succeed is attitude. Think more about your soft skills -logical thinking, work ethic, desire to learn, collaborative spirit, etc.- rather than on your background, which obviously can help you but by any means shouldn't be a hurdle for anyone coming from any other knowledge domain or industry.
