The materials provided are detailed and filled with practices which the instructor went through step by step. Furthermore, he explained the rationale for each line of coding thus making every lesson easily understandable. Using what was taught in the lesson, there were weekly assignments for us to recap our learning.

Pros: Teacher is extremely clear on his course and leaves no doubt when I am learning throughout the course. Cons: Small issue but audio quality can be quite choppy sometimes but not frequent enough to be an issue. Will recommend this to anyone keen to know what coding is about, this course is a superb introductory.

Plan to do a career switch and came across this course which includes govt subsidies. I decided to give it a try. Learned a fair bit on Python programming skill and there are assignments to test our knowledge after each class. There are Telegram group chats where you can get updates on your class or discuss assignment questions. For students who are need more guidance, there will also be additional help provided. The course is rather intensive, you will need to do additional research in order to attempt the assignment questions. The assignments are realistic and applicable in work. Overall I enjoy the course and am looking forward to DS102 to gain more knowledge.

Pros: My Instructor Sengkok and the Teaching Assistants (TAs), especially my Team 2's TA Kaiyang, are very clear and concise in their teaching. They are also patient with their students. Cons: The assignments are much more challenging as compared to the lesson examples and can be daunting for students like me who has no background in programming.

Took up DS101 (Introduction to Python Programming) which spans over 7 lessons/weeks over Zoom platform. Lessons were conducted in a structural manner (intensity/difficulty scales up gradually) to ensure folks who are clueless to coding can also follow through. Content was well delivered with good articulation by the instructor (Danielle). My assigned teaching assistant TA (Kei Wen) was also responsive to our queries regarding our weekly assignments.

Great, I've learnt alot from the teachers here! Highly recommended! Explore the wonders of analyzing data via python coding. Great instructors and TAs. Highly recommended! Great coding learning experience from the course instructors & the TAs. Really learnt a lot from this course! Good pace and knowledgeable teachers and teaching assistants. Good TA to student ratio too.

I am definitely happy to take up the course at Hackwagon and look foward to coming back for more courses if the situation permits. Teaching materials are relevant and well prepared. Instructor/TA are approachable and willing to help with any issue or questions.

I had no background in data science but this course allowed me to gain basic knowledge on important and widely used programmes. The instructors and teaching assistants are patient and approachable. Although the take-home labs were challenging, I was able to explore the programming functions and familiarise myself with it even more. I liked that the labs were very applicable to reality.

Pros: The instructor explains the basic concepts relatively well. It was easy to understand and he did not use any complicated jargons when explaining. Also, the practice exercises are good as they are challenging yet they allow me to fully apply what I've learnt in class. Cons: the instructor goes too fast sometimes (not really a big problem since they upload the answers later)
