As a 20-year IT professional, mainly in corporate systems administration, looking for mid-career job change to a freelance front-end developer, it was not easy to find an online college or course that would make me feel comfortable that I had been equipped with the right skill set to successfully navigate a new path. Thus, I feel, finding McLaren College as I did was nothing short of a God send. With no-upfront payments and a course structure that was fast paced, and yet flexible enough to accommodate my current skill level and work/life pressures, I've been able to gain the new skills I needed in a much faster time than any other instruction course I've ever taken. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, engaged and always available to ensure that I never felt isolated despite the time zone differences and online distance-learning nature of the course. Learning with other people that are in similar situations to myself, as well as from those who have completed the training before, really encouraged and motivated me to stay engaged with the challenging process of gaining a new skill set. I feel that more colleges should follow the innovative model used by McLaren College and so if you are looking for a mid-career change or just starting a new career as a Full Stack Developer then McLaren College would be the wise choice. I have no problem rating them 5 stars and am looking forward to a long-continued relationship with the College as I evolve in my career. |
