I have just graduated from Coyotiv (literally 3 days ago). I was a full-time student so if you have seen the website you know what that means: a madness for 8+ hours a day FOR 13 WEEKS! This is way easier said than done but after the course is finished, I really felt that I've transformed into a person that can handle any problem in any tech stack. This is the mindset that Coyotiv teaches. About the structure of the course, I can say that every little detail is so well-thought that I felt the privilege we had right in the first week. The content is designed in a way that enables you to start from zero and land in a place that you can spot the problem in the code and solve it on your own or even when you can't solve it, you know the correct way to ask it. This is a huge motivation when you just start your journey in a field that is completely new to you. Also the curriculum is story-based so I improved my project in line with the content of the curriculum. This enabled me to apply the knowledge to my code and question the things I learned from the lectures. Speaking of questions... Instructors and assistants encourage us to ask all the questions we have in our minds and they do their best to make sure that we understand the topic and they cover all of our questions. Daily live sessions were so exciting for me because you may never know what Armagan and Steve brings to discussion when you ask a question :) During these sessions they taught us the best practices to succeed the industry, as well. So it was never only code and software, I definitely learned way more than what is in the curriculum. Continuing with the structure: Together with the main curriculum, we had 4 weeks of Career Bootcamp with a professional career coach. She helped us adjust our professional presence for the career change. For example, I was a linguist before Coyotiv and I had no idea how to survive in an interview for software engineers or how to prepare my resume for software engineering jobs. About these and many other topics, we had huge help from her for four weeks. Another bonus was Public Speaking classes. I loved this idea of learning and sharing what you learned with others. Our instructors always encourage us to go public, and they teach us how to do it as well! Now I have graduated but the community stays forever. That is one of the best parts of the course. You will never be alone after you get involved in Coyotiv :) I am so happy to be a part of it and this was the best decision I have ever made for myself.
