I studied electrical engineer and joined the course to transition to be a software engineer. Rocket Academy had taught me a wide range of knowledge regarding the profession. Besides data structures and algorithms, tropics such as agile, model view controller, continuous integration etc. were explained and shown to us. We started off the day by learning about data structures and algorithms, followed by full stack fundamentals. We then had lunch and the rest of the day was spent on building projects. The instructors were always available to answer our questions through Slack. Beside teaching us all the necessary knowledge, Rocket Academy also put a lot of emphasis on getting us hired as software engineers. They constantly linked us with potential hirers, inviting the hirers to share their experiences. Getting our resume to be read by the hiring manager can be difficult as we do not have a computer science degree. Rocket Academy has ties with the industry and helped us forward our resume to the hiring teams. At the end of the course, I had a successful career transition and Rocket Academy was the one who linked me up with my current company. In fact, all my batchmates had successful career transitions to be software engineers. I highly recommended the course.
