Go Beyond Learning Online: Join an Online Community with Springboard
When it comes to getting an online education, aspiring students often focus on finding a program that offers engaging, up-to-date coursework in a way that fits in with their lifestyle, budget, and goals. And while those priorities are crucial, in that search, it can be easy to lose track of the more behind-the-scenes needs we have as we learn. The online learning process – and the job search that comes shortly after it – are both challenging journeys to embark on.
Just because you’re committing to study virtually doesn’t mean you have to forgo one of the most important elements that make learning such a valuable and formative process: genuine support and human connection. Over the years, Springboard has built a fully comprehensive online education that prepares its graduates for today’s working world, that includes both learning and engagement opportunities that go beyond just getting technical skills.
Personalized Support with 1:1 Mentorship
When you commit to learning online with Springboard, you’re individually matched with an industry expert who works in your desired field. Not only will your mentor meet with you on weekly 1:1 video calls to check in on your course progress and offer technical guidance – but they’ll also be a sounding board to offer you real-life industry insights.
You’ll work together with your mentor on polishing the skills you need to kick off the search for your dream role, and to stay motivated and focused in the course; keeping your learning on track and taking your portfolio to the next level. Springboard mentors are leaders in their communities and come excited to welcome you into their networks.
Setting Your Job Search Up For Success
We know just how important it is for our students not just to land jobs after completing our programs – but to launch careers. This motivates our learning model to include foundational elements like the capstone project: a real-life, industry-specific project that you’ll use not only to gain learning experience but to harness your skills and use them as a real testament to your abilities.
Upon graduation, you’ll be well-equipped to present a portfolio of your work in a compelling way to employers and speak to real-life scenarios that you might encounter in the day-to-day of your new role.
That’s not all. From the very beginning of every Springboard Career Track, students work 1:1 with a career coach to work on the soft skills (and everything in between) needed to land a job. To help you excel in your job search, our Career Services Team is on your side to:
- Advise on resume building and portfolio presentation.
- Help prepare you for interviews and networking events – both online and offline.
- Facilitate your transition into the tech industry.
- Guide you through job boards, postings, and finding new opportunities.
The best part? All of this is designed to get done from the comfort of your home.
The Springboard Job Guarantee
Having the confidence to persevere in your learning journey requires a lot of focus – getting caught up in the what-ifs of the world around us can get tiresome and distracting. To give our students peace of mind, we created our one-of-a-kind Job Guarantee. With the Springboard Job Guarantee, each student gets a 6-month runway to secure a role in their industry, and if they don't, they get 100% of their tuition back.
Don’t Just Learn: Join a Community
When you become a Springboard student, know that you’re joining a community that is a robust network of industry thought leaders, alumni, and mentors that are eager to offer insights, networking opportunities, and support well after graduating the program. In our online student community, we work to foster connections with other students in your cohort (and others) to share ideas and offer each other ongoing support as you learn together.
Find The Right Career Track Fit
We offer multiple course programs that are tailored to help you build out your unique skill set and experience. Here’s a bite-sized overview of our Career Tracks:
Access course material developed with input from Microsoft with a unique approach to an analytics curriculum that emphasizes strategic thinking and communication.
Master statistics skills, Python, data wrangling with Pandas and APIs through completing real-world projects and developing your own data science portfolio.
Through completing a capstone project, you'll design a machine learning/deep learning system, build a prototype and deploy a running application that can be accessed via API or web service.
Become a programmer by mastering key aspects of front-end web development, back-end web development, databases, as well as data structures and algorithms.
You’ll learn basic UI design, heuristics, and interaction design principles through UI practice exercises that let you practice visual elements such as balance, scale, alignment, and hierarchy.
For more experienced designers who already have a technical edge, this program helps you master the technical elements of UX design while focusing on fostering empathetic design thinking and gaining a specialty in a UX Design focus of your choice.
